                     Emily's POV ・▽・

Tara got dressed at her place. She wore a red mid tight dress with light makeup and silver jewelry. I sat on her bed watching her get ready. When she was done, it was finally my turn. I got sitted in front of her dresser and she applied some makeup to my face.

" What ever happens, no crying today ", Tara said as she applied some concealer to my face.

            " I'll try ", I replied.

" It's not like I'm the one who'd look like shriek anyway ", she joked and we both chuckled.

" Be serious, it doesn't smudge right ? " I asked suddenly rethinking agreeing to this.

" Nope ", she said and she continued applying the makeup.

When she was done, she helped me get into the black dress. It was long and sleeveless. The top half till like my torso was designed with beads and silver stones, while the down part was made of a black satin and lace designs. It was just too pretty. I stared at my reflection in the mirror, resisting the urge to cry. He had done so much for me and I turned him down.

Tara lowered me to the dressing stool. She styled my hair into a very cute style. She helped me put on my jewelry and then she placed a silver hair piece on my hair.

" You look so pretty ", Tara said as she stood infront of me admiring all the effort she put into my look than my preexisting beauty.

" More like you did a good job ", I said, getting up.

" Yes I did ", she said wiping invisible tears. I glanced at a wall clock hanged in her room and it looked like we were already fifteen minutes late.

            " Omggg ! We're fifteen minutes late ", I panicked.

" Chill out girl, the late entrance trick always works everytime. Cinderella wasn't early to the party now was she ? " Tara remarked and I shook my head.

" Let's goo ", I said and she threw her hands up. She grabbed her purse and I grabbed my silver purse. We walked to the living room and Jay was sitting there. His eyes widened when he saw us.

" Oh my goodness ! You girls look drop dead gorgeous. And that was for Emily by the way ", Jay said and Tara eyerolled.

" Oh my... Thank you Jay ", I replied.

" you know if you say I look pretty you wouldn't lose a tooth ", Tara said clearly dissatisfied that her older brother couldn't give her a compliment even on her last school dance. I couldn't blame Jay though. He had a lot to lose by saying that. His while reputation as a brother was at stake. I mean in what planet does your brother throw you a sweet comment.

        " I think he'd lose worse ", I defended.

" Thank you ", Jay said. We literally formed an alliance against Tara.

" Urghhh .... I thought you said we were late ", Tara reminded.

" Oh yeah that's true. Bye Jay ", I said.

" Bye Jay. Don't miss me too much ", Tara joked.

" I wasn't even going to. Bye girls ", he said and right on cue we heard a car horn. I turned to Tara, staring at her quizzically. We were already late and now they had a visitor ?
