Emily's POV °ｏ°
I ran to the living room , and Mae and Ray weren't there anymore , and I was sorta thankful . I went to the couch and laid there face up . I stared at the ceiling trying to process what had just happened , and I slowly drifted into sleep .
I slowly opened my eyes , and I felt someone caressing my hair . I looked up to see Leo .
" Um..... What are you doing here ", I asked . " Owww ! ", I said , and held my head . I had a very bad headache . It was probably because of the drinks .
" Sorry , umm , I made you lemon juice , it should help ", he said and gave me a glass of lemon juice , and I drank it .
" Thank you ", I said , and put the glass down .
" Um ... I'm sorry for what happened earlier ", I said . " I'm just not ready for all of that yet , I'm so sorry , I didn't mean to refuse you ", I said , and tears rolled down my eyes .
" It's okay Emily , I completely understand , and maybe I should have asked for your concent first , I'm sorry ", he said , and I gave him a hug .
" I love you ", I said to him in a sob .
" I love you more ", he said .
" Are you ready to go home now ? I already had your clothes cleaned up , and they're probably dry by now ", he said .
" Ohk , but do I get to keep the t-shirt ? ", I asked .
" Yes , you do ", he said and I got really excited , I gave him bug hug .
" Now go get ready , let's go . And you're clothes are in my room , on the bed ", he said , and I ran up to his room and got dressed in my own clothes , and I put the t-shirt in a plastic bag , then I ran downstairs . I saw that Mae and Ray were now there .
" Um .... I'd have to go now ", I said , and they all looked at me , almost as if they wanted me to stay more .
" I'd miss you , do come back here soon okay ? ", Mae said , and I smiled at her .
" Sure , and when next I come , I'd have some more cupcakes ", I said
" That wouldn't be a problem for Mae , I'd make sure you have enough cupcakes to eat ", Mae said , and we hugged each other .
" Bye Ray ", I said
" Bye Emily ", he responded , and I walked to where Leo was , and we left .
We got into the car , and Leo began driving .
" I had alot of fun today ", I said to him , breaking the silence .
" I'm glad you did ", He responded , and we went back to being silent . This was quite awkward for me , and it barely happened between us , so now I couldn't help but think of what I did wrong .
After minutes of driving , we were at my pack .
" Would you want me to take you home ? Or back to the lake ", he asked , and I couldn't really decide what I wanted .
" At the lake ", I said after a while . Not long after , we were parked beside the lake .
" Thank you ", I said to him , and took of my belt .
" You're welcome ", he responded . I got down from the car and closed the door , and peered at him from the window .
" Bye ", I said .
" Bye ", he responded .
Geez ! why was he acting so weirdly ? It was almost as if we were strangers .
I watched him drive off , and I let out a deep breath , then I went by the lake side , and laid my back on the soft grass next to it . I stared at the sky , it was already evening , and the sky was a soft blend of orange and peach . It was actually beautiful to look at .
I drifted into the my world of thoughts , and I was brought back to reality , when I heard something pass by .
I got up quickly , and I noticed it was just a lizard . Ohk I take that back , it was not just a lizard , it was one of the numerous animals which I had a phobia for . Seeing the lizard had it's way of making me lose my interest of staying back at the lake , so I dusted myself and my fanny pack , and I headed home .
The area was really cold , since it was already getting dark . I was a bit scared , since I was almost assaulted the last time . I could only pray and hope that this time would be different . The mere thought of this made me quicken my steps , and not long after , I was at my front door . I knocked on it , and my mom came to open the door . She pulled me into a hug after she saw it was me .
" Is everything alright mom ? " I asked , and she simply dragged me in and shut the door behind me .
" Yes yes , everything is find , I was just a lil bit worried about why your weren't home yet ", My mom said .
" Sorry mom , I had so much fun there , that I almost forgot that I had to come back home ", I said .
" That's fine , I'm just happy that you had fun . And why does your breath smell like alcohol ", my mom asked .
" Ohhhhh - umm .... I might have had a little alcohol to drink , but don't worry it was only one glass ", I said , crossing my fingers and hoping that my mom wouldn't make a fuss about it .
" I really don't like the idea of that Emily , you shouldn't really drink when you're out , it's not just safe , considering the fact that you're lightheaded and that you're a girl ", my mom said , and I knew she was just being worried for her daughter , like every other mother would have been , but I still didn't like her getting unnecessarily worried about me .
" Moooom , I'm fine , moreover I was at my boyfriend's place , what's the worst that could happen ", I said , sounding like my careless self .
" Emily , you need to be more careful , we can't just trust people blindly , I know he's your boyfriend , but I don't want him taking advantage of you , you two can only have ......... ", She made to say , but I cut her off .
" Mom please .... I already know what you want to say , that before we can do anything , we need to have each other's consent , but mom you need to understand that I am mature and no one is going to take advantage of me , trust me ", I said , and gave her a hug , hoping to calm her down .
" Just be careful , now go take a shower and come let's make dinner ", my mom said , and I went to my room to take a shower .
