"Yes." After his confirmation the man left, he didn't want to upset the young trash master with his useless questions even though he had many.
« I can't stay too long, I already feel bad. It seems like my anemia got worse by coming here. Maybe because this body is weake.»
En sighed Cale entered the tea shop.
"Hello, welcome." The shop owner greeted him warmly. Cale simply told him that he wanted to stay on the third floor, preferring to be alone and quiet. He ordered a simple sweet tea, hoping that it would help him a little.
He went up the stairs, and sat down at the table closest to the window. His purpose in coming here was to confirm Choi Han's arrival in the county. According to the book this was the best place.
Billos finally brought him his tea, Cale savored its good taste but unfortunately it didn't help him much. He hoped to see Choi Han appear soon, he doesn't know how much longer he could hold out.
Luckily for him, his wish came true soon enough. He was able to see Choi Han go past the guards as planned and be rejected. Now that it was confirmed, he could finally go home.
He didn't take the time to say a word to the owner before leave. He didn't care what people thought of him anyway.
He quickly left the store and took refuge in an alleyway. He had a headache and could already feel the symptoms of another crisis coming on. He really had to find a solution to this problem. The best thing would be medication, but he didn't know if it was possible to find any in this world, but one thing was certain: he wasn't going to live like this for much longer. Thinking about it, he put his back to the wall to try and calm down.
Ron wondered what was going on with his young master, but didn't have time to think about it for long. He saw him bend over and start to fall, he rushed to his aid and caught him before he hit the ground. He was very worried, especially since he had been watching him all day, he hadn't seen anything that could have made him like this.
He took him in his arms and ran. Arriving in front of the county, he quickly asked the guards to let them in. They didn't protest when they saw the situation. Once inside, he met Hans and told him to bring healing potions and to call an emergency doctor.
He then led Cale to his room and laid him down on his bed while waiting for the doctor to arrive.
It didn't take long for him to arrive followed by Count who was worried about his son.
The doctor quickly attended to him under the watchful eyes of Ron and Deruth.
"It seems that his pulse is too fast, in addition to his labored breathing. Have you noticed anything that might explain his condition?"
Ron quickly searched through his memories. "No, he seemed calmer and ate more. Maybe... We also saw that he was holding his left side today, as if in pain."
The doctor opened Cale's shirt and they were all shocked to see the size of the bruise on his body.
"Do you know how this happened?" The Count turned to Ron.
"No, he hadn't been out for two days before today. Although,... I wasn't always with him."
He inspected the contusion further. "It looks like it came from a very recent violent shock, I'd say a day ago at the most."
"You said he didn't go out, could it come from someone in the county?" He asked Ron absently, he looked angry that someone dared to touch his son.
"Sir, I didn't say it came from someone, more like he fell, there's no mark to prove it was a person."
He was a little relieved even if he was still worried. "Do you think that's why he's in this state?"
"No, a bruise doesn't cause that kind of reaction unless it's more serious, which isn't the case here."
He then put a hand on his head to examine the rest of his body with his mana. This was no ordinary doctor but a mage with healing powers.
"Hmm." Seeing the doctor's reaction, they became even more concerned.
"Did you find something?"
"Unfortunately yes, sir. Fortunately your servant brought him back in time, his life could have been in danger."
The two men widened their eyes at that.
"Excuse me, can you explain?"
"Of course, the young master suffers from severe anemia, a lack of blood in his body that can cause dizziness, fainting, heart and respiratory failure."
"So the bruise comes because he fainted?"
"Yes, that's certainly the case."
"But how did he get sick?"
"Usually, it's due to severe malnutrition during childhood that leads to this type of illness as he grows up..."
These words hurt the two men even more, both of them consumed by guilt.
Count Deruth remembers how he promised his wife to take care of their son and he also remembers how he behaved towards him after her death. He completely neglected him, every time his son came to his office asking him to come eat with him, he refused because he couldn't look him in the eye. He completely abandoned his child and now he is sick because of him.
Ron was the same way, he still remembered the young boy who used to come to him for comfort or just to talk to him. He'd been with him since birth but when the cute kid stopped behaving like that to become a rude young man. He stopped taking care of him when he was just a toddler who had lost one parent while the other neglected him and found a new family. Any child would have changed in the face of this. But he didn't pay any attention to him, whereas the young master had already consoled him when things weren't going well, and had even helped his son, whom he called Hyung at the time.
"How can we treat him?"
"I am sorry, but there is no cure. We can simply try to regulate it, with a medicine that he must take every day. He must also, be careful that he eats properly, that he rests enough with his condition, his body is unfortunately weaker. Pay special attention to his health and consult a doctor as soon as you see or notice something."
The doctor searched his bag to take out a bottle and gave it to the count.
"Here is the medicine, it is an iron pill. It is very important that he takes it to control his condition and always at the same time. Preferably, during a meal, before that you just have to monitor him."
"Fine thank you, just one last question, how long do you think he has been sick?"
"Given his condition, it has been a few years, although I don't know how he has been healthy until now." Saying this, he bowed to the count and finally left the room.
Deruth sat down on the chair next to his son and took his hand. He would have to talk to him and especially apologize.
Ron thought the same thing but before that he had to talk to his son, they had to be careful with their young master now.
It seems that the paternal instincts of two people have awakened, albeit a little late, but better late than never.
