*'I saw the fire when I look into your eyes'*

After the concert:

Abel

I couldn't get her out my head.

Her eyes, her lips, just everything about her.

Kissing her hand wasn't enough for me. But I didn't wanna get ahead of myself and scare her. I mean, I think I saw her blush so maybe she didn't mind?

I tried to shake the thoughts out my head, getting ready to focus on the private meet and greet I had coming up. I didn't wanna ruin it and like I wasn't interested or anything. But damn, this girl wouldn't leave my mind.

I took a sip of the drink I had in my hand, hoping a few sips of alcohol would help but somehow, it was just making worse.

I put my drink down and got up from the sofa of my empty dressing room, surprisingly since normally the crew would be hanging around but I guess they went out after.

I hear a knock on my door and look up to see Cash walking in.

"Hey man, it's almost time to go meet the girls for the meet and greet. You ready?"

"Yeah, just give me a quick sec" I say, grabbing my phone and wallet before following Cash out of my dressing room.

I open up my phone up for a quick second to see people already posting about the concert tonight. I like a few posts before Cash motions to me that we're almost there.

We finally reach the door and Cash knocks three times.

Luara

I'm hyperventilating at the moment.

I'm actually going to talk to him face-to-face. As if the whole interaction during the concert wasn't enough. Gosh, I need to calm down. Now.

Makayla hands me a glass of water and I take a few sips, feeling my nerves calm down a bit.

"Lua, you've got to calm down. I mean what's the worse that could happen when you talk to him?" she asks, shrugging her shoulders.

"Hm, I don't know maybe I embarrass myself in front of him and make a complete fool of myself? I mean if this is how I am after speaking a few words with him, how am I supposed to have a full blown conversation with the guy?"

"Listen, I promise you, none of that is happening tonight. Once you calm down and take a few deep breaths, you'll feel better and once you talk to him, it won't even be that bad! Now come on, I'm pretty sure they're about to get here so let's fix you up a bit."

She reaches for her purse and takes out her lipliner and gloss and starts fixing up my lips for me. I love her for this. She starts playing with my hair a bit before we finally hear three knocks on the door.

I look to her and widen my eyes, shaking my head, signalling that I'm not ready. She starts nodding her head at me, refusing to believe I'm not ready.

"Come in!" she says, smiling at me. She nudges for me to stand up when I look towards the door to see Abel's manager, Cash and Abel himself walk through the door. I lock eyes with him and his eyes widen for a second before they soften and smile. I smile back at him before Cash finally speaks up.

"Hey girls, I'm Cash or Amir casually and I probably don't have to introduce this guy but this is Abel," he says, gesturing to Abel who walks up to me and puts his hand out to me.

"Hey, we met earlier at the concert, right? You were the one I sang 'Out of Time' with if I remember,"

He smiles at me, still standing there with his hand in front of him which I take, shaking it.

"Hi, yeah, my name is Luara and this is my best friend, Makayla," I say gesturing towards Kay who waves at him. He waves back and looks back towards me, his smile never fading. It's genuinely mesmerising.

"She's the one who actually got the tickets for tonights show, I've been a fan of your music for quite some time and to say that tonight wasn't impressive would be a lie," I say, nervously laughing a bit after.

I then look down at our hands to see they're still connected, and I guess he took notice too, because he quickly pulled away and put his hand in his pocket.

I stand there, nervously playing with my necklace, having no clue what to do. Gosh, I need to work on my confidence for real.

"Oh wow, that's great to hear. Thank you so much for that, I appreciate it for real," he says, looking down at me. Despite him being 5'8, I'm only 5'5 so it still creates a bit of a height difference between us.

"Let's sit down, please, here I insist,"

"Oh yeah, of course"

We both sit down on the sofa in the room and Kay plops down beside me. Theres a moment of silence before Kay finally speaks up.

"So, how have you found this whole tour so far? I mean, watching videos from the internet, we've seen it to be great and we definitely experienced that tonight" she says, trying to continue the conversation.

"Oh, it's been really good so far. I mean, I've really enjoyed the whole singing and meeting more fans experience this year or so and, so far it's been a success."

"Except for, obviously, the one show I lost my voice," he says, looking down at his hands in his lap.

I could tell it was upsetting for him because when I watched the video of when it happened, I could hear the pain in his voice when he had to tell over 80,000 people he wouldn't be able to complete the show that night.

"Hey, yeah I saw that all over the internet. I'm really sorry for what happened. I could tell you were really upset over it," I say, suddenly reaching for his hand to take in comfort. I didn't want him to start getting upset so, maybe I could give a small sense of comfort?

He looks up at me and squeezes my hand in his, giving me a thankful look, before I finally pull away.

"Nah, it's all good now though, just didn't wanna disappointed anyone, you get me?"

"Yeah, hundred percent," We make eye contact once again and it lasts for a few seconds before we hear someone clearing their throat.

Another knock comes from the door and it opens to reveal Lamar standing there, his eyes widening when he realises Abel has company.

"Oh, sorry for interruptin-," he quickly says, before his eyes land on something behind me. I turn around to see Kay staring back at him, recognising the look in her eye.

Looks like we got an admirer over here. I giggle a bit, before turning back to look at Lamar who's still standing at the door before he quickly rushes out, closing the door behind him.

"Excuse me for a second," Cash says, soon following behind Lamar, right out the door.

My eyes avert to Abel's whose eyes are already on me. My cheeks start heating up when I realise he's been staring at me for the past few moments and I had no clue whatsoever.

"How would you ladies like to join me and the crew on a night out tonight? We don't do it a lot but since its the last show of my second leg, we've decided to go somewhere. You guys wanna tag along?"

I look back to look at Kay and see what she had to say, but she just shrugged her shoulders at me, telling me she didn't mind. I didn't mind either and to be honest, I would regret missing out on a chance to have a night out with Abel Tesfaye.

"Yeah, sure we'd love to! Where to?" I say as he gets up from beside me and offers both his hands to me and Makayla, helping us off the sofa.

"We were thinking of heading to that new club in the city, Cupid Nine. You down to go?"

I look back at Kay and we nod at each other.

"Sure, lead the way."
