*'You got me puttin' time in, time in, nobody got me feelin this way..'*

Ring ring..
I look down into my car console to see Freddy calling again. I slide down on the screen and put it on speaker, turning into Luara's street.
"Yo, everything good?"
"Are you nearly here? Um, Luara's kind of sitting on the sidewalk rocking back and forth. I have no idea what's got into her,"
"I'm pulling up right now, I'll be there in a sec,"
"Alright, I see you,"
I end the call as a girl sitting on the sidewalk comes into view and I instantly recognise her as Lua. She's rocking back and forth, hugging her legs and shaking her head continuously. I park against the pavement and open my car door, causing Luara to look up. Her eyes widen when she realises I'm here and tries to get up from where she's sitting before failing and falling back down again. I quickly rush to her side, holding both her hands in mine to make sure she isn't hurt when she yanks herself away.
"D-don't touch me," she stutters, dropping her head and breaking eye contact. I can see the tears brimming up in her eyes and my heart breaks over the fact I've made her cry again.
"Babygirl I'm sorry, please just let me help you..," I go to help her up again but this time she turns her whole body around and lifts herself off the ground effortlessly. She starts walking in the opposite direction and I speed walk after her. She walks way too damn fast for being drunk.
"Luara, wait!" I yell, in hopes of getting her attention but she makes no move of acknowledging me. She continues stumbling away and I end up slightly jogging before grabbing her arm in my hand and forcing her to face me. Looking at her face now, her eyes are red with tears spilling down onto her cheeks. Her face scrunches up in anger when she makes eye contact with me and she yanks away once again.
"Lua.. please just listen to me," I plead, reaching out for her hand and this time, she doesn't pull away. I take that as a sign to move closer, wiping away her tears and continuously kissing her cheeks. Her irregular breaths let me know she's calming down and I lean back to look into her eyes.
"A-Abel, why did you leave w-without saying anything? I'm sorry if I did something wrong-," She starts but I quickly lean down and peck her lips to cut her off, swiping my thumbs over her soft cheeks.
"No, don't apologise for the dumb shit I pulled Lua. I shouldn't have even acted out like that, what I did is.. stupid, inexcusable even. So don't say sorry, I'm the one who should be fucking apologising, not you." I finish, anger building up inside of me over what I did to her. I don't know what the fuck I was thinking walking away like a child when I could've been mature and talked to her about it. She faintly smiles before leaning up and putting her hands on my both sides of my face, combing her fingers through my beard. I close my eyes in comfort, in love with the way her fingers gently caress my face. My eyes pop back open when she starts speaking.
"I just didn't expect you to walk away like that, that's all.." She trails off and my eyes soften when I notice her eyes start to water again.
"Abel, you really can't pull that shit out on me like that. Just talk to me properly when you feel some typa way, walking away isn't gonna do anything, okay? We both have to communicate with each other, regardless," She smiles up at me and I nod, leaning down to peck her lips. When I pull away, she has a smirk playing on her lips and I cock my head to the side in confusion.
"And don't think I didn't forget about that 'boyfriend' comment," She murmurs, picking a fluff of my shirt and blowing it away from her finger.
"I was hoping you didn't, Angel," She playfully punches my arms, breaking out into a laugh.
I chuckle, before wrapping my arms around her and resting my chin on her head, pulling her closer to me. She responds, wrapping her own arms around me and laying her head on my chest, closing her eyes in peace.
