*'There's nobody here, just us together'*

I chuckle when she speed walks out the kitchen and my eyes fall to her swaying hips with each step she takes. An annoying sound draws my attention away and I look up to see Makayla clicking her fingers at me, attempting to grab my attention.
"Hey mister, eyes up here. Now that Luara's gone, you have some explaining to do," She states, squinting her eyes at me. The smile on my lips fade and I furrow my eyebrows, leaning against the counter and crossing my arms across my chest. I look at Lamar and he shrugs his shoulders at me before grabbing a drink from the fridge. I give Makayla a nod to continue.
"Okay so," She starts, clapping her hands together and taking a seat at the island counter, "We all know you and Luara have been involved with each other romantically for the past month so the only question I have is.. when in the world are you gonna make it official?" I start coughing dramatically on literally nothing and Lamar runs to my side, smacking my back.
"Yo man, chill what's up witchu?" He smacks my back one more time before I push him away from me, signalling that I'm okay with a thumbs up. Once I recover, I peer back at Makayla to see her looking at me with narrowed eyes, her head cocked to one side.
She is one scary woman.
I clear my throat before looking up at the ceiling, thinking carefully about the next few words I'm about to say.
"Erm.. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying no to being her's but like.. I don't know, isn't it a bit too soon?" I question in an unsure tone, staring at Makayla, waiting for her to show any reaction to what I just said. She crosses her arms over her chest in a dramatic manner, before she huffs out and smacks her lips, looking to the side.
"Okay, I guess you're right," She admits and I breathe out a sigh of relief I didn't even realise I was holding in, putting my hand on my chest. Lamar chuckles at my reaction and I glare at him before shaking my head and closing my eyes for a moment.
"But don't think I won't come after you if I hear you made her heart hurt for even a single fucking second, Abel Tesfaye," She threatens and I think she's joking until I stare back at her straight face. I cautiously nod before she switches back to a smile, jumping up from her seat and skipping to Lamar, throwing her arms around his shoulders.
"Why you gotta mention my government name for though," I mumble and her eyes cut to me again in a split second, making me hold my hands up in surrender before she looks back to Lamar with a loving look in her eyes. Damn, Lamar gotta watch out if he ever crosses her bad side.
Just then, Luara walks back into the kitchen wearing beige joggers and a matching top, making my jaw drop for a second before I recompose myself.
She smiles as she scrunches her wet curls in her hands and walks to the fridge, grabbing a tub of pineapple and digging in, stuffing her face with them. My eyes wander down to her stomach when I catch something shining in the sunlight and I recognise it as a belly button piercing. I cock my eyebrow up in surprise, seeing as this being my first time noticing it. Before I can say anything about it, Makayla skips over to Lua, swinging an arm over her shoulder and winking at her. She starts whispering something in Lua's ear, making her giggle and look at me. I cock my eyebrow up in confusion before Makayla finally speaks up.
