I'm woken up from my sleep by the subtle buzzing from my phone which I assume is on my bedside table. I squeeze my eyes closed even harder as a pounding headache pains through my head but I ignore it as I sit up and blindly reach out for my phone, one eye still closed as I adjust to the light in my bedroom.
Once I finally grab it, I tap on the screen to see the time is 9:25 and 15+ messages have been sent from Makayla and they continue popping up on my screen before I can even open my phone. I stretch my legs out a bit to release the sleep in them when my foot hits a hairy leg.
"What the fuck.." I mumble, letting my toes move up and down the leg to make sure I'm not being delusional.
My eyes widen when I peek down to see an arm is draped across my waist and I turn my phone off, placing it back on the bedside table gently.
I can reply to Makayla later.
I stay still for a second before slowly twisting my body around to see who's sleeping next to me. When I reach a point that I can see who it is, I sigh out in relief when I realise it's Abel. He's never slept over before so hence my shocked reaction. I plop my head back down on my pillow, taking a moment to remember everything that happened last night and I smile to myself, recalling our little movie night.
I turn my head towards him with a smile on my lips, my eyes wondering over his face. His lips are poking out in a pout as his cheek squishes up against the pillow, making him look cute as ever. I turn back ever so slightly to reach for my phone to take a picture and once I do, I reach out my hand to place on his cheek, rubbing my thumb against his little hairs surrounding his full beard. I lean forward and peck his lips poking out and I giggle when he stirs in his sleep, pulling me closer by instinct. After a moment of silence, I slowly start to lift his arm off of me, stopping when he moves his leg from under the duvet to over it and I place a pillow under his arm before lifting myself out from under the duvet. I slide my feet into my slippers before grabbing my phone and making my way into my connecting bathroom.
Once I'm settled onto the toilet, I open up my phone to check what Makayla is messaging me about.
Kay🤞💘

Hello??

FINALLY. when in the world were you gonna tell me you and Abel got together? or was I supposed to find out from social media🙄
sorry wha- since when did me and Abel become official?
Since the mf news outlets are on your case!!
I roll my eyes at her response, disappointed by the fact she actually believes what she's reading on the news. I place my phone on the sink counter, cleaning myself up before flushing the toilet and washing my hands. My phone vibrates against the surface, and I already know what this message is about. I strip myself of my clothes and chuck them into the laundry basket, walking over to the shower to set it to my desired temperature. I step in and close my eyes, letting the warm water engulf my body and my muscles relax in response. I run my hand through my curls as I reach for my mango scented shampoo, and begin my haircare routine.
