We drop the subject before we all head back to our houses. I walk in and see no one's home, "Huh, weird" I whisper
I head up to my room, laying down in my bed and decide to watch some tv. After about an hour, my phone buzzes. I see a text message from an unknown number, "Not this again" I whisper
I open the message to see a video and a text attached, "That's what you get for being a freak" It reads
I open the video to see a hand spray painting Karen's locker, "What the hell?" I ask
Then I see a video request from the girls, I join, "Did you all—?" I start to ask
They all nod their heads, "It was Karen. She called each and every one of us out" Imogen says
"What'd she say in your text, Imogen?" Noa asks
"That's what you get for trying to steal my boyfriend" Imogen says
"How did she expect us to respond?" Noa asks
"She doesn't. It's a mind fuck. That's all this is. It's like she's taunting us" Faran says
"Why, though?" Noa asks
"Because she's a deranged bitch, clearly" Faran says
"Should we tell someone? The cops?" Mouse asks
"Karen's father you mean?" I tell her
"Yeah, maybe let's not do that" Tabby says
"You were friends with her Imogen, why is Karen doing this?" Tabby asks
"Cause she's...insecure, and toxic, and not a good person" Imogen says
"She put an innocent animal inside a tank, and then turned that tank into a vacuum. It died an excruciating death while she filmed it. Not a good person? She...is a horrible human being" Mouse says
"She's racist, homophobic, hateful, privileged, and she's going to keep being all those things for the rest of high school" I say
"Unless we do something to stop her. Fuck it. We have to take her down" Noa says
"If we all agree to go for it...I had an idea of something I could do with the video, edit it in a certain way" Tabby says
"Okay, so we are doing this? Because it's not even a question for me" Faran says
"Yes. Hard yes" Noa says
"She filmed herself killing a living thing for fun...yes" Mouse says
They look at me, "She tried to destroy me all because she's a homophobic bitch that hates that I'm popular. I'm in" I say
Then Tabby mutes us as she talks to Imogen for a minute before unmuting, "It's on. Let me do my thing, and we'll talk tomorrow" Tabby says
[Thursday: October 1st]
The girls and I meet up so Tabby can give us flyers to distribute around school. I take mine and place them in everyone's lockers on the soccer team while no one's in there.
After school, I head home to get ready. I dress in black ripped jeans, black tee with a red and black flannel. I decide to keep my hair down and curl it before placing my silver chain and rings on. I grab my phone, and my keys before I walk downstairs. Before I can make it to the door, "Gia, where are you going?" I hear
I turn around to see my mom standing in the doorway to the kitchen, "Oh umm—" I start
"Got a hot date?" She asks gesturing to my outfit
"What? No!...I um...My friend, Tabby, is having a double feature at the Orpheum, she invited me. So I thought I'd go" I say
My mom gives me a slight smile, "Okay, have fun sweetie" She says
I smile, "Thanks mom"
[Orpheum]
Once I make it inside, I walk in and see Mouse, Faran, and Noa sitting down, "Hey guys" I say
"Hey Gi, there's a seat next to me" Noa says
I blush at the nickname before I nod my head and take the seat next to her, "Thanks" I whisper to her
She smiles before Tabby and Imogen sit at the end. Then the lights dim and I glance at Noa, "Hold onto your butts" Tabby says
The video starts to play. It starts out as like a 'campaign' video before it turns into the video of Karen drunk, "I'm hot right? Like, super fucking hot" Karen says
"Show me how fucking hot you are" The guy says
"Okay. Can you believe Greg kissing that fucking slut when he has me?" Karen says
The six of us slump down in our seats, "Asshole couldn't even keep his little pencil dick hard enough to fuck me properly...it was, like, 15 seconds...tops" Karen says
"Shit...you are cold girl. Yo, keep it coming, though. Keep it coming" The guy says
"What a lowly little bitch with a tiny, ting little pecker. Mm..how big are you?" Karen asks
The audience is laughing at this point as we all look around, "I'm huge. Yeah, I'm massive" The guy says
"Do you wanna show me? Come on. Show me, show me, show me, show me" Karen says
"Okay, yeah. I'll show you mine, but ladies first" He says
"Okay. What do you wanna see? Wanna see top or bottom?" She asks
Then we turn and see Karen running out, "Karen!" Kelly yells as the video turns back to the 'campaign' video. Then everyone starts clapping and we sit back and watch the movies. I can't help but feel like we went too far. Yeah I hate Karen, but that was humiliating.
After the movies, we are all standing outside, "We're okay, right? I mean it wasn't that bad...was it?" Imogen asks
"It wasn't as bad as torturing and killing a animal" Mouse says
"Don't forget, she made it look like I put razor blades in her shoes. I could've been arrested. I might still be arrested by her Nazi father" Faran says
"It was a mirror. We held up a mirror to her, and everyone saw who she really is" Tabby says
"Guys, I should probably go, got curfew. Anyone want a ride?" Noa asks
"I wish. I gotta stay and sweep up the floors" Tabby says
"Fun" Noa says
"Yeah" Tabby says
"Bye guys" I say
The four of us walk away while Tabby and Imogen stay back. We make it back and I get to my car, "This is your car?" Noa asks
She admires my car, "Yup all mine" I say
"It's so nice" She says
I smile, "I'll let you take it for a spin sometime" I say
Her face lights up as the other two just look at us, "Really?!" She exclaims
I flash my million dollar smile, "Yeah, anytime Noa" I say
I get in, "Bye guys, see you tomorrow" I say before driving off
