[Monday: June Second - First Day of Summer School]
We're all standing outside of the school under our umbrella's, "Oh my god" Faran says
"I can't believe this is happening" Imogen says
"It is" Noa says
"And the gloomy weather is definitely fitting my mood" Tabby says
"My mom started law school today, and I'm trapped in a nightmare" Faran says
"At least it's not juvie" Noa says
"And it's not a Disney cruise with my moms" Mouse says
"Summer school, a fate worse than death. Almost" I say
"Silver lining playbook, at least we'll all be together?" Tabby tells us
We all link our arms before heading inside. We see the classroom assignments, "Wait. What the hell?" Mouse asks
"It...It looks like there are two sections prepping to retake those shitty Keystone Exams" Noa says
"And we're all in section A" baby says
"Hate that letter" Faran says
"Same" Noa, Mouse, Tabby, and I say in unison
"Except for me" Imogen sighs, "Fuck that" She grabs out a pen, "I'm transferring myself" Imogen says
Once we make it to the classroom, I sit next to Noa, "Imogen Adams, aren't you in Mrs. Murray's section?" Mrs. Gibbons asks
"Yeah, I think there must've been a mistake with the section assignments" Imogen says
"This is section A. My roster doesn't have your name on it. Thus, you, Ms. Adams, are in the overflow classroom" Mrs. Gibbons says
"The...overflow classroom?" Imogen asks before she has to leave
Then Mrs. Gibbons starts calling attendance, "Nick Brody?" No response, "Absent. Sabrina Hooper?" Again no response, "Also absent" She says
"Hey, uh, Jennifer Fox" Noa's head whips around and I see her face drop, "Sorry I'm late" She says
Then this girl shares a lingering look at Noa which I don't like what so ever. As Jennifer takes a seat, she looks back at Noa which makes my blood boil for some reason. I see Noa sift in her seat so I lean over and press a kiss to Noa's cheek, "Who is that?" I whisper in her ear
"Nobody" Noa tells me and I don't think I truly believe her
[Later On]
Noa went to the bathroom so I'm waiting for her with the other girls, "Okay did the rest of you see the way that Jennifer girl looked at Noa?" I ask them
"Not exactly but I did see the way you immediately made sure she knew that Noa was yours" Faran points out
"Protective much, Gia?" Mouse asks
"You're telling me that if someone looked at Ash like that, you wouldn't make sure they know he's yours?" I ask her
"Fair point" Mouse says
"I will say her eyes lingered on Noa a little too long" Tabby agrees with me
"Thank you, Tabs" I say
Then I see Jennifer walk out of the bathroom and a few seconds later, Noa walks out and my god I don't have a good feeling about this girl. Noa walks over to me and notice Jennifer looking at us. I pull Noa into a kiss, "Ready to go, princess?" I ask her
She grabs my hand, "Of course" She says
As we walk away, I turn my head to see Jennifer staring me down. I pull Noa closer to me as we walk out and I try to shake off this feeling that I don't know the whole story with those two.
[Dr. Sullivan's Office]
We're all sitting not he couches, I'm next to Noa and my mind is still racing on what that new girl's past is with Noa, "So, how was your first day of summer school?" Dr. Sullivan asks
