[Noa's Apartment]
I got Noa back to her apartment after texting the girls to meet us there. We got Noa soaking her feet in a basin of water, "Noa, what the hell happened to you?" Faran asks
"That bitch Bloody Rose happened! She picked a dog on me and I had to run barefoot across a shit ton of thorny rose stems" Noa explains
"A dog" Imogen says
"What the fuck?" Tabby asks
"She said that if I didn't go alone, she would kill Gianna for real this time" Noa tells them
"Oh fuck" Mouse syas
"I mean, I wasn't thinking. I was just reacting" Noa says
I place my hand on her back, rubbing it soothingly, "Okay. Well, how did you escape from her?" Imogen asks
"I ran. I ran as fast as I could. And then I flagged down a car that was passing by. Thank god it was—" Noa says
"Her girlfriend who didn't want her to go alone in the first place" I tell them
Noa sighs, "I got luck. Very lucky" Noa says
"Gianna definitely wins the best girlfriend award" Imogen says
"But you guys need to know because now Bloody Roses has attacked Faran, Mouse, Gianna, and me. Only ones left on her hit list are..." Noa trails off
"Us" Imogen says
"Us" Tabby says
"When either of you gets the call or a note or whatever, what are you gonna do?" Mouse asks
"Only thing we can. Do everything in our power to survive. Like you guys did" Tabby says
"Well technically I did die for a few seconds" The girls give me a look, "Sorry for being accurate" I whisper
[Monday - June 16th]
We're sitting in our class, "Before we get started, we have a surprise guest with a special invitation today" Mrs. Gibbons says
The girls and I share a look as Kelly walks to the front of the class, "Good morning, Millwood High" Kelly says
"Kelly" Imogen says
"Hey. So, we at Our Mother of Holy Grace understand and are highly empathetic to the reasons why you have found yourselves here in summer school. Be it bad choices..." Kelly says
"Bad choices?" Noa chuckles, "This bitch" Noa says
"...or bad influences" Kelly continues
"At least she's not speaking in tongues" Faran says
Then she Strats passing out flyers, "...this is what our production of Redemption House is all about, bad choices. How to avoid them, and how to make up for them. All the details are on the flyers that are being passed around, including a promotional code for cheaper tickets. Thank you. And I hope to see you there" Kelly says before walking out
"What the actual fuck was that?" I ask
"Production, performances?" Tabby asks
"Oh my god. They're doing this thing, whatever the hell it is, at my house" Imogen says
"I repeat, what the actual fuck?" I repeat
After class, we head to the library and Tabby calls her mother, "Hey honey. What's up?" Sidney answers
"Mom, did you rent Imogen's house to Our Mother of Holy Grace?" Tabby asks
"The church? No, I rented it to an LLC. Why?" Sidney asks
"Could this church be behind the LLC?" Tabby asks
"I could try and find out. What's going on?" Sidney asks
