The Ring

"Get up already!" Theodor jumped on the bed while I ignored him. "You see I told you not to come back so late but you guys always wipe your asses with my words!" I snored loudly to annoy him. "Carlie come on! I have a flight at 6:00pm and Orlando is 4 hours away come on!" I groaned and got up. Packed my bags, again and made our way towards Orlando.

Jack has been quiet and serious since this morning. "So this ring is in some random guy's house?" Theo nodded. "Well how do you know?" Jack followed to where Theodor pointed. "My brother knew him, his name is Joshua." Theo squinted his eyes looking at the street names. We passed by houses and started making our way further into some forest like neighborhood. "Its starting to get creepy around here.." The houses started disappearing and now it was just the dark forest. "Are you sure its around here?" Theo nodded. "Right there up ahead." He pointed at a tall house with yellow chipping paint. It was the only house around here. Jack parked the car and we all slowly made our way out. We stepped on the porch and just when Theo was about to knock he turned around quickly to look at us. "Be careful, don't touch anything, that ring has the capability to turn anyone who wears it psycho," He turned back around and said under his breath. "Who knows what that ring has done to the poor guy.." *KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK* Theodor knocked three more times before Jack got impatient and took matters into his own hands. He knocked roughly and yelled out "Open up!"

The door slowly creaked open. Creepy. "Hello? Joshua?" Theodor stepped in first while I got closer to Jack. He stepped in after. The house was terrifyingly quiet. There were knick knacks everywhere and a rocking chair in the center of the living room which looked like its been untouched for some time. "Joshua?" I heard Theodor further away this time and then footsteps were heard upstairs. The guy must not be home.

I kept snooping around in the living room. It was dark as hell in here. I walked over to the blinds and opened them. "There, a little sunshine never hurt anyone." I glanced over to a shelf and saw a photo of man who i'm assuming must be Joshua with a woman and two kids. That must be his wife and children. So what the hell happened?

I suddenly felt nails digging into my shoulders. I turned around quickly and backed up fast slamming into the shelf and knocking over things. It was the man, Joshua. But he looked bizarre. He barely had hair on his head and the little that he had was up to his shoulders and his beard was long and untrimmed. His eyes were a pitch black. They looked inhuman. He was anorexic. It looks like he hasn't eaten in days, no weeks. His teeth were disgusting, they were a yellowish black and were all mounted on top of each other. He looked much older than the man in the picture. His hands were dirty and his nails were all chipped and twice as long as mine. I noticed he was wearing a gold ring on his index finger. He shook me wildly. "YOU DID THIS! YOU DID THIS!" He yelled repeatedly as he shook me violently digging his nails into my forearm. All I could do was scream as I was to terrified to move. Jack came in and tried to pull him back and right in that moment Jack tugged him back forcefully, Joshua pulled me close to him and he locked his jaw on the side of my neck and took a huge bite. I pulled back hard falling on the floor. His mouth was all bloody. I can only imagine how my neck looked.

Jack put Joshua in an arm lock to stop him from fidgeting. "THEODOR!" Jack's voice vibrated through the ground as he called over to Theodor. Theo rushed in from up stairs. "Oh my god what the fuck happened?!" Theodor looked at me in mortification. "Theodor the ring!" Jack struggled to get Joshua to stop moving. Joshua got out of his grip and headed right for me. I closed my eyes tightly and covered my face. Jack pulled him back and got him in a head lock. They both fell back on the ground. "Fuck!" Jack fell straight on his back. Theodor climbed over Joshua and tried to get the ring off his finger. Then he started yelling things out in latin. I put pressure on my neck to stop the blood from running. Maybe wearing a white shirt wasn't the best choice today.

"SHE DID THIS!" He pointed at me. I pressed my knees into my chest in fright. Theodor quickly pulled the ring off and everything changed. He stopped moving. Jack let go of him and he looked at us weird. Like if he didn't recognize us. Jack stood up off the floor and backed up. Joshua stayed on the floor. He knocked out for a couple seconds before literally 'rebooting' "What happened to me? Why- What happened?" I was starting to get
dizzy. "Fuck not now..Theo," I sighed gasping for air. "I'm not feeling to good." Theodor ran over to me as I started feeling numb. "You've lost to much blood. Jack get her in the car. She needs a hospital!" I glanced one last time at Theodor before my head dropped and everything went black. "Stay with me Carlie, stay with me.."
