I haven't been talking to Eric now that Jack and I are "in a relationship." I've seen him around with Jessica a lot lately. Even though he can be aggressive, I still love him.
"So where are we gonna go?" I asked Jack who was walking me to class. "Um, I'm not sure. I have a friend who studies the witches of Salem and he might know where to go. I think it's Georgia our first stop." I smiled. "Finally I can travel!" He smirked. Then my smile disappeared when I saw Eric..Holding hands with Jessica. I stopped in place. Jack put his arm around me. "Chill, just act natural, laugh a bit." He whispered in my ear. "Yeah, so then he broke down laughing!" Jack said fake laughing. I giggled along and looked at Eric from the corner of my eye. When we were passing by I caught him staring. I smiled at Jack when the coast was clear. He looked down at me and winked.
We entered my art class. I sat in my usual seat next to Mia while Jack sat behind me. "Cobain? Come here please." Jack stood up and walked up to the teachers desk. I looked at all his beautiful virtues as he strolled past me. "Oh my gosh. Carlie, everyone is talking about you guys!" Mia said. "What are you talking about?" Mia rolled her eyes. "You and Jack of course! Everyone is talking about you guys as a couple! The artist and the rebel. Jarlie! Jack and Carlie." I giggled. Then she leaned closer. "and I think Jessica is jealous since the attention isn't on her anymore." She smirked and I looked at Jessica she was twirling her hair and looking at Jack. Jack walked back and sat in his seat.
"Hey what are you doing after school?" Jack whispered from behind me. I turned around to look at him. "Not sure, why?" "Come over my house today!" I nodded. "great!" he smiled leaning back. I looked at Mia and she winked. I started blushing.
After class I saw Eric leaning against the metal pole where he would usually wait for me. Jessica ran past me bumping into me making me drop my canvas and papers. I looked up at her with a face. Eric tried not to laugh. I could feel the tears about the overflow on my waterline. I could see a wrist with tattoos pick up papers. I looked up at Jack smiling but he looked blurry since my eyes were watery. I looked back down so he wouldn't notice I was crying. "Was it Eric?" I heard him whisper. I wiped off the tears quickly. "No, no it's nothing." I looked back at Jack. His face was, angry. He had a furious scowl. His eyebrows were shooting downward and he grinded his teeth together. He stood up and walked over to Eric. Eric's stupid smirk faded and went into a disgusted face.
Jessica looked Jack up and down in lust as she wrapped her arms around Eric's neck. Jack ignored her and looked at Eric intently. I bet he had so many things he wanted to say. I got up and hid in the crowd that was gathering. "I swear, I swear Eric you do one more thing to cause Carlie pain and I won't hold back." He clenched his fists. Eric pushed Jessica away and stepped up. "Why don't you mind your own business, oh wait that's right, you don't have a life." Jack turned to look around trying to not look Eric in the eyes cause he knew he would use his angel powers and go berserk.
"I would give my life for Carlie. and I will do anything, I mean anything to keep her safe from people like you." Jack poked Eric's chest. "You better stop messing with me bro. Because you're gonna have something coming." Eric pushed Jack. I came into action, not another fight. I grabbed Jack's arm and tried pulling him back but he was as stiff as a boulder. "Jack lets go." I pulled him and he followed still keeping his glare on Eric. Everyone moved out of the way as Jack and I passed by. I tried to get as far away from Eric and the crowd as possible.
"Jack look at me." He still looked angry, like if there were things he wanted to get off his chest. He didn't look me in the eyes. His jaw kept twitching as he clenched his teeth. "Jack." He kept taking in deep breaths. "Jack!" I turned his face to look at me. His eyes went soft and he was no longer tense. "Look at me, forget him. He's nothing but a low class imbecile." I said. "You're so much more of a man than he ever will be. and thank you, so much for defending me. Eric never did that half the time that Jessica picked on me." I let go of his cheek to hold his hands. "Nah don't worry about it. All I care about is your happiness toots." I started blushing. "come on, lets go to my place." We walked towards his car.
He pulled out his keys and pointed them towards a nice black Honda Civic. "Wow I didn't know angels could drive." I said smiling. "That's not the only thing we're good at." He bit his bottom lip, winking as he put the car in drive. I started blushing again. Damn my transparent cheeks. "Anything you wanna listen to?" He turned on the radio. I searched for the right radio station and they were playing The Weekend. "Oh I love this song!" Jack drummed his fingers to the steering wheel at the beat of the music. They were playing 'Earned it.' "Have you ever seen the movie?" I asked. "Fifty Shades of Grey? Nah." He said and continued singing the song. "We should watch it together." I said. He turned to look at me with a mischievous grin. "Wow, are you up for that challenge?" He smiled and I nodded. "Fine, we'll go watch it this Saturday." I nodded. "Then it's a date." He grinned with a evil intention behind it. I rolled my eyes laughing.
