haechan arrived quickly to the address given, his sleek black car resting in the driveway as he made his way towards the complex narae lived in. it was a simple but chic home, the boy decided that it suited her perfectly. stepping onto the porch, he knocked lightly on the door to signify his presence. he didn't have to wait long before he was face to face with the girl, a smile on both of their faces.

"thank god you're here." narae let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding in, feeling calmer now that he was infront of her. "my room is... a little messy, just so you know."

"yeah, anytime.." haechan suppressed a laugh. " and don't worry...doubt it'd be worse then a room after jisung and chenle stay in it."

"definitely not," the girl giggled, "cmon in." narae grabbed the brunettes hand, pulling him into her home. the sudden contact surprised him, pink rushing to his cheeks, eyes widening in surprise. the girl continued to look forward, unconscious of her habit as she continued to lead the boy to her room.

"this is my-...oh.." she paused, awkwardly clearing her throat and letting go of the grip she had on him, now sporting a light blush that matched with his. "this is my room..." she continued, using her now free hand to open the door and welcome him in. "sorry.."

"you're alright," haechan met her eyes with a fond smile, turning to look at the disaster in front of him. his mouth formed an 'o' shape as he took in the mess. "wow, you weren't kidding..."

he continued to observe the room in silence, taking note of the clothes available to choose from. "wish you would've called me earlier... would've taken you out shopping.. we can work with this, though."

"music to my ears," narae laughed, "so you'll be able to help me right?" the girl chewed on her lower lip nervously, glancing at haechan with worried eyes.

"like i said," he looked at her, nodding his head. "best style in our group. he's gonna fall in love with you first look, actually."

".... please shut up."

---

"are you sure he like things like this? i don't think he does-"

"don't." repeating her earlier action, haechan grabbed the girls wrist, pulling her closer to him. narae stumbled slightly in her shoes, reaching out to grab his shoulders for support while he reached out for her waist. the boy met her eyes and grinned, "don't change. you look good. he's going to love it."

"im just worried," she confessed, letting out a small sigh. narae looked in the mirror once more, smoothing out the fabric of her skirt. "what if he thinks i'm trying too hard? or not trying enough?"

"narae," haechan snorted, "that makes no sense."

she pouted, glaring back at the boy seated on the edge of her bed. "it doesn't need to make sense. but this is our first time hanging out alone....i have to make a good impression."

"cmon," he soothed, "you're worried over nothing. like i said earlier, mark is a really good guy. and it's just a cafe isn't it? you'll have fun!"

narae turned away from the mirror and gave a small smile. "i guess you're right." she took her spot next to him, resting on her comfortable bed. "..thank you so much for this, haechan."

he looked down at her, returning the smile. it was almost surreal being at his biggest enemies house helping her prepare for a date with his best friend. it felt so nice to be with her and not fight, to work together and help eachother get to their goals- even if it was slightly twisted.

"of course... i have your back, narae."
