"haechan, thank god you were up, i think i would've went insane if i had to wait until tomorrow to tell you about this," narae breathed out, a red tinge to her cheeks as she recounted the events of today in her head.
"well, lay it on me." haechan laughed at the dramatics, voice much deeper than usual- a testimony that it was indeed late at night.
"you saw the photo i sent right?"
haechan nodded before forgetting the older couldn't see him, opting to let out a hum of reassurance instead. narae continued on, "mark won me that, and a few other things too... he's surprisingly good at arcade games."
"we used to go all the time when we were younger," the boy confirmed, "he was always tough to beat."
"..yeah, he told me you were the one who recommended the place to him..." narae paused for a moment, wondering how to show her appreciation. "thank you for that haechan, it was absolutely perfect."
he was surprised at the genuine sincerity coming from her voice- he hadn't thought the place would have been that big of a deal when he picked it. in fact, he had no idea it would go this well at all. though he had suspected mark was beginning to harbor feelings for the girl, hearing narae talk about how things played out practically confirmed everything. thankfully, it was all going to plan. "it was no problem, really."
as she explained further, haechan couldn't help but pray whatever narae came up with could compare to a day like this- how would she even get sooyun to want to spend time with him? let alone enjoy it? the boy could only hope that narae's part of the plan could go off without a hitch too.
