This doesn't mean it isn't cannon it still is. He just gets a different backstory for every world he goes to as if he's always been there. Gf was his first world. He the whole feeding him raw meat and making him drink blood was not a reference just them making his body adjust to the changes of an elderiach being sharing a body with him. Also he forgets the backstory from the previous world when he goes to the next, however he will always remember his backstory from his home world. The next book will be out in a week or two.
