The Confusing Thing About Relationships

As I was making my way to Knuckle's house I couldn't help but think about Amy's words earlier.

"Well you know me, I always like to make my friends happy and hopefully I'll get to make you happy as well Sonikku~"

Amy has always been a helpful person and now she's helping me with both my situation with Sal and also with my stress because of Sal. It's like she wants to help my marriage but she's also okay with having an affair with me.

It's all so...confusing.

I remember her being so innocent back then, but how did she become like this? Did Shadow ...corrupt her somehow?

Well, she's still sweet, kind and of course helpful, so does it matter if she has a different side to her?

No, it shouldn't, I shouldn't be the one questioning her choices, and it's not like I'm any better....

I love Sally so why do I want to do .....this with Amy? Yea I enjoy the sex and the feeling of risk that comes with it, but it's still wrong...so why does it feel so right.

Then again there was also that other feeling....freedom.

And I want that feeling...

I won't let this last too long...I swear.

After a few seconds of knocking the door swung open and behind it was Emi, my niece.

"UNCLE SONIC!"

"Hey, Emi! Is your dad home?"

"No, but my mom is, she's laying down right now, come inside" I stepped inside and followed her into the living room where I saw the very much pregnant Rouge laying on the couch.

"Mommy look who's here!"

"Sonic! Oh it's so great to see you, I would get up to hug you but there's something in my way"

"Hehe, It's alright Rouge but here I brought you brownies from Vanilla's bakery"

"Oooo Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" her excitement made me chuckle as she sat up to eat her goodies.

"they're from Amy"

"Why am I not surprised, that's so like her, Knuckles and I really did make a good decision choosing her"

"Choosing her? What do you mean by that?"

"Well....don't tell Amy but since baby number two is on its way, Knuckles and I began to think if anything were to happen to us who would take care of our kids and so we decided that it was best for them to have godparents and we chose Amy to be their godmother"

"That's great! I'm sure Amy will be extremely happy to hear that, so who's the godfather?"

"That's what we're still thinking about, it's between Mighty and Shadow"

"Not that I'm offended but how come I'm not an option?"

"Because Knuckles mentioned that you want a child free life so we figured that you wouldn't be interested, no offense"

"None taken but that's actually why I'm here to talk to Knux about that...."

"What? Is Sally pregnant or something?"

"N-no, but she's been wanting kids but I'm still on the fritz about it so I came here looking for some advice since you guys have some experience"

"Well, I can try and help you with that, what kind of advice are you looking for?"

"Any kind I guess? Like how was it like to take care of a baby"

"Oh it is hard, I lost so much sleep, I barely got to eat or even shower, and Knuckles and I rarely had any alone time"
