Amy was the first to wake up, but the first thing she noticed was that the sun was up, yet Sonic was still there. She had grown used to him gently waking her up around 5 a.m. and carrying her to bed before he left. She was worried that he might've accidentally overslept and would get into some trouble with Sally so she decided to try and wake him up instead.
"Sonic?" She nudged him but he didn't respond.
"Sonic, I think you overslept." Still nothing. She sighed and sat up. "Come on Sonic, it's time to get up."
His eyes soon started to open, his vision was blurry at first but once his view became clear he smiled up Amy. "Mornin' Ames."
"Sonic, the sun's out."
"So?"
Amy was confused by his response. "Don't you have to go home now?"
Sonic was aware that it was way past 5 a.m. but he didn't feel like leaving, he was too comfortable on the couch with Amy. "Don't worry Amy, it'll be fine, I'm sure I can stay for a bit longer."
Sonic moved around and had his elbow on the couch with his head resting on his palm.
"Sonic, you know we can't be too reckless, or else we'll get caught."
Sonic smirked. "Come on Amy, I know I can be reckless at times but trust me, Sally doesn't suspect a thing, it'll be okay." He assured her before ushered her to lay back down with him.
Amy slowly laid back down but was still a bit skeptical. "Are you sure you won't get in trouble? It's kinda risky ya'know."
Sonic just smiled at her before he lifted her chin up and gave her a small kiss on the lips. "Heh, you know me, Ames, I like risky."
Amy blushed. "Well, I still have work today so either way I can't stay for too long."
"Hmm... well, Do you have any plans afterwards? Maybe we could still have some fun."
Amy let out a sigh. "Maybe, I'm not sure...."
Sonic could tell that something was up. "What does that mean? Something on your mind Ames?"
"Honestly... I've been thinking about Rob lately, I didn't like how we ended things last time we saw each other and I was thinking about going back to Mercia."
"Like... move back?" Sonic asked with a hint of worry.
"No silly, I already told you that I'm staying here, I just wanna try and talk to him."
Sonic was relieved at her words but still wondered. "But I thought you weren't going to talk to him?"
"I wasn't but that's the thing about us being related, we're both equally stubborn." She sighed.
Sonic lightly chuckled. "I don't doubt that, so how long do you plan on staying there if you do go?"
"Not long, I just want to talk to him and see if he's willing to apologize for his actions."
"Hmm, alright, then I'll go with you." Sonic smiled.
Amy was surprised by what he said and looked at him. "Huh? Why?"
"For emotional support and so we could still fool around." He smirked before he leaned closer to her and started to kiss and nibble on her neck making Amy slightly giggle. "Oh come on Sonic, we'll have plenty of time to have our fun when I get back."
Sonic moved back and laid back down, letting Amy use his arm as a pillow. "I know that but I wanna make most of our time together before Shadow gets back and another trip to Merica wouldn't hurt."
