The Confusing Thing About Relationships

Amy was spending her last day in Mercia with Rob'O and his family.

The day of her arrival the family was delighted to see her and Sonic. Rob'O obviously questioned why Sonic was there but wasn't upset about him being there or anything like that, just a bit curious.

The two told him their version of why Sonic was there and asked if he could stay till the rain passed. Rob'O of course didn't mind and was even happy to spend time with an old friend.

But as soon as the rain stopped Sonic knew he had to leave —not that he wanted to but he did have a wife waiting for him back home. Sonic wanted to be with Amy privately one last time so he could at least get a "kiss" goodbye but with her family around— it was difficult. But Amy did give him a hug before he left but when she did she quietly whispered something erotic that made his face heat up, and luckily left before anyone could notice.

Amy was now waking up from the guest room she was in and happily made her way downstairs where she could smell delicious food.

"Morning Mai, whatcha making?" Amy asked her cousin's wife. "Oh! Hey Rosy, I'm just making some breakfast, have a seat" Mai said with a smile.

"Smells delicious" Amy sat next to her niece who was sitting in a high chair "Morning Hana" her niece could only let out small coos in response which Amy found adorable.

"Hey, where's Rob?"

"He's at the gym, he should be back in about three hours"

"Hm... maybe I'll join him in a bit"

"Alright just finish your breakfast first —unlike he did" Mai rolled her eyes at the fact her husband left only eating half his food.

Amy let out a sigh "sorry about him"

"Don't be, I married him, I know what I signed up for... and he makes me happy" she smiled.

"That's good.... It must be nice to have someone"

Mai placed their food down and sat across from Amy "It is, and I hope one says you'll find your someone too.... someone like, oh, I don't know... Mighty?"

Amy coughed on her food out of shock. "Mai... Mighty and I are just friends" Amy stated.

"Oh Com'on, you two were so close when you lived here.... Maybe even closer~"

"He's my friend... I'm close to all my friends"

"But you guys did spend a lot of time together, you even brought him with you to get that tattoo of yours"

"He was there for support"

"Oh I'm sure he was, but who else was helping apply moisturizer on it once it was healed?" She smirked.

"Hey... don't make crude assumptions, he was only helping, that doesn't mean anything"

"Oh yeah? And those flowers he got you didn't mean anything either?"

"No, they didn't" Amy tried to dismiss but Mai wasn't buying it and the truth was that Amy wasn't so sure about it herself.

The relationship she had with Mighty back this was innocent.... Then it became less innocent.... Then it became....complicated.

Now she just wanted it to go back to the innocent relationship they had, but even though they talked things out after they ended this, she knew it wasn't going to be easy for things to go back to how they were before.

But she wanted to at least try.

'Should I talk to him about it again?'

"You know, I haven't seen your other friend around lately.... Ya know, that black and red hedgehog?"
