"Raphael."

Raphael already sensed Lia's presence by the door before she called him. He could have asked her to come inside. He chose to wait instead and gave her time to gather her courage. He could see her reflection on one of the glass walls of his office. She is twitching anxiously by the entrance door.

Napabuntong-hininga ito. "I feel like I'm shirking my responsibilities and asking to be fired."

He fixed his gaze on the woman framed by the door. She looked guilty, worrying her lower lip with her tiny, straight teeth. She'd probably end up biting her fingernails in a few minutes if he doesn't get her out of the building.

He smiled at the thought of his unflappable secretary gnawing on her fingernails. . That would be quite a sight. And would not happen.
