"You? Or is it Max?" Sa hina ng boses ni Lia, hindi na niya sana narinig kung hindi lang magkalapit ang kanilang mga mukha. 

Napakunot-noo siya. "What?"

"The one who owns me." Ibinaling nito ang ulo paharap sa kanya. "Ikaw o si Max?"

He didn't make any attempt to bite on the low growl that he let out. The fingers he had on her cheeks slid down to wrap around her throat. Mabini niyang hinaplos ang lalamunan nito bago naglapat ng isang mariing halik sa gitna niyon. When he pulled back to look at her, she was biting her lower lip. He put just enough pressure on her throat to feel her pulse beneath his fingertips, erratic and wild, each throb sending a jolt of satisfaction through him. 

With his free hand, he brushed her hair aside, exposing the delicate, vulnerable curve of her neck. He pressed another kiss on it, a soft, lingering one that was almost reverent, but held a dark promise beneath it. He felt the shiver run through her, her body responded instinctively, betraying her. His lips traveled lower, tracing a slow, deliberate path to her shoulder, his tongue flicking out to taste her skin, salty and sweet. 

"If you have to ask that, I must have not fucked you well enough this past six months." Pagbibigay niya ng diin habang nakabaon ang mukha sa balikat nito. 

"Max fucked me," she grumbled. "So good, I might add."

He knew it was stupid to feel irrational jealousy over one of his own names. He's Max, for fuck's sake! He also knew she was goading him for reasons unknown with that compliment that was not a compliment. Must be part of her campaign to make him go mental. 

Without warning, his teeth sank into her shoulder. The cry that tore from her lips was loud, her soft sobs trembling with more than just pain. Threads of pleasure and desire wove through each sound, her breath catching on a gasp that sent a shiver down his spine. A dark smile curved his lips, reflecting his own mix of pleasure and something far more primal. 

He nuzzled his way up the side of her face and then pressed a dainty and gentle kiss on her temple while his fingers around her throat dug deeper. Lia let out another whimper. "Shhh, my beautiful slut. Shhh."

"You like to hurt me." May himig nang pagtatampo sa boses nito.

"Only because you like it." Inalis niya ang tuhod mula sa pagkakadagan sa likod nito at pinaikot ang mahaba nitong buhok sa isa niyang kamay at hinaltak iyon. Napatukod ang mga kamay nito sa kama at napatingala hanggang sa nagtama ang kanilang mga mata. "Now, tell me you don't crave the hurt I give you."

Nanatiling nakatikom ang mga labi nito na ikinalapad ng ngisi niya. "Sabi ko nga. I will hurt you more tonight, and you will love every second of it." 

Binitiwan niya ang buhok nito at ipinagsalikop mga palad sa lalamunan nito. He pulled her closer, and she instinctively arched her back to ease the pressure on her throat, granting him greater access to her lips. He claimed her mouth with his, her lips parting willingly for him — o baka kailangan lang nitong huminga. But he doubted she had much air left when his tongue thrust past her lips, greedy and demanding, plundering her mouth with a fierce, hungry intensity that left no room for hesitation. He tasted her deeply, his tongue tangling with hers, devouring her like he couldn't get enough. Always not enough.
