Chapter 2: Getting ready for the party

My alarm started ringing at 7:30 am, jesus christ I just want to continue sleeping. I woke up to wash my fase and went to the kitchen to make some coffee, what would I do without it. I put an episode of "Friends" at the same time to enlighten the mood, I love that sitcom. Typical? Yes, but, who cares?

Kate and I decided to go today after work to buy something nice for the party, I'm not sure what I am looking for, I think I Will go with a suit instead of a dress, unless I find something else super nice

That Austin guy I really don't know what to think about him. I mean, it was a very nice gesture inviting us to that party, but I'm not sure if it's true what he said about how he believes in our company or if he only wants to flirt with me... We Will see what happens this friday, I guess. While I was thinking about my life looking to nowhere, I Heard Goose meowing next to me. I looked down to see him laid on the floor with his paws up. That manipulative little shit, he just wants his food, but he is too adorable. I put his food in his bowl and he inmediatle stop up and ran to eat it, I'm starting to think that cats only want humans for the food and nothing else.

I got dressed and went to the office walking, as it's only 15 minutes far, this way I stop feeling sleepy before the day starts.

When I entered, Robbie was already in his spot.

"Good morning Celia, how are you doing this morning?"

"Good morning Robbie, tired, as always, you?" I asked while approaching to him in the other side of the desk.

"Same thing. Kate is already in the office studying I don't know what, but she looks really concentrate"

"I'll go and check on her, thank you. See you later!"

I entered in Kate's office to see her sitting on her desk (not on the chair) looking at her laptop as if her life depended on that. I approched to her to see that she was in The Outset's webpage.

"Jesús fucking Christ!" I yelled next to her, making her jump in surprise and almost making her laptop fell.

"JESUS WOMAN. What are you now? Black Widow? How the hell did you entered so silently?!"

"Black Widow? Really? Your obsession with Johansson is on another level now" I said, sitting on her chair.

"Anyway, I yelled because what the fuck are those prices? Are their products made of diomonds or what? I didn't know you spent that much in beauty products"

"And I dont" she said, adjusting her position so I could also see the screen. "But, if we want to convince them, we Will have to show interest on their products so they see we know what we are doing, you know? Common sense and those things you are lack of"

I rolled my eyes and looked at her, typical Kate answer.

"By the way, you smell Good, what perfume are you using?" She asked still looking at the screen, what a random question.

"Carolina Herrera, 212" I said dramatically. She looked at me with her eyebrows raised.

"And you were complaining about these prices but you spend god knows how much in a perfume?"

"Cállate. I got it in sales... So it wasn't that expensive. Do you know what are you going to wear this friday?" She looked at me with a mischevious look and, without asnwering, she started typing, hiding the screen from me. Happy with what she found, she showed the outfit, oh my god.

"You Will look hot as hell in this dress, but your boobs probably Will come out, you know that right?"

"Maybe I can get Scarlett's attention easily with this... if you know what I mean... And if don't get hers, I'm sure that other important people Will want to talk with me"
