Three months passed since Easter, the day Yunho decided to part ways with Mingi. Mingi felt like he was in hell.

This had been another time Yunho rejected Mingi's presence in his home, but this time, he was truly adamant.

Yunho's mother was okay with it. She was impressed by Mingi's persistence despite Yunho always rejecting him. And this time, the woman invited Mingi to join dinner with Yunho's family. Yunho refused to leave his room and see Mingi's annoying face at the dinner table, but his mother told him that if he refused, she would be disappointed.

So, unwillingly, Yunho had dinner with Mingi among them. Throughout the dinner, Yunho always avoided eye contact with Mingi. In contrast, Mingi kept staring at him relentlessly, hoping Yunho would glance at him even for a moment. But no, Yunho didn't do it. He even wore a sour expression and seemed uninterested, even with his favorite food.

Mr. Jung and Mrs. Kwon exchanged glances after witnessing the super awkward interaction between Yunho and Mingi. They wanted to help, but Mr. Jung told his wife through his gaze not to interfere. They were grown men who knew how to solve their problems.

"I needed to go to the bathroom for a moment, excuse me," Mr. Jung said and rose, leaving.

"I'll turn off the oven. It seems the lasagna is ready?" Mrs. Kwon said, following her husband's departure.

Yunho snorted. He stabbed the kimchi aggressively with his chopsticks. He put it into his mouth roughly.

"Yunho."

No response.

"Darling Yunho."

That call only made Yunho angrier, and he sped up his eating.

Then, he saw Mingi offering something to him. Something that finally made him turn. To that object. Not to Mingi. Yunho reluctantly grabbed it.

"Jung Yunho."

Now, Yunho finally looked at Mingi.

And Mingi, who finally managed to get Yunho's attention, stared at him with seriousness and sincerity. He said, "Would you marry me?" when Yunho opened a small square-shaped box containing a ring.

Yunho felt like his heart stopped.

Had he been dead?

Or had all of this just been a shadow of an illusion?

Whichever it had been, Yunho didn't want to deny.

That what happened then was something definite.

Yunho looked at Mingi again, with an unbelieving gaze this time. Observing carefully the words spoken by Mingi.

"Live with me. With our children. Let's build a family. And live happily forever."
