"Forget it, Yunho, this isn't going to work. I really need some green mangoes right now," Mingi complained in frustration after cleaning the remnants of saliva from his lips with tap water. In front of the sink, Yunho continued to massage his husband's neck to make him feel better.
"I understand."
Yunho helped the very weak Mingi to bed. "Rest now," he instructed.
"But darling, I need to buy some fruit."
Well, they had run out of fruit. How could they have been so careless when it was clear that Mingi was still in his craving phase?
"In your condition? No, no. You stay here. I'll go get it. Don't argue." Yunho's final sentence was his way of interrupting Mingi, who was already opening his mouth to protest. So, there was nothing Mingi could do but comply.
"Sleep so you won't feel the nausea." Yunho tucked Mingi in up to his chest.
"But it's already night and the air is so cold. Are you sure you'll be okay?" Mingi asked worriedly. He felt guilty for burdening Yunho once again. But what could he do? This was always what happened whenever he got sick.
"The cold never bothered me anyway."
Distracted from his nausea, Mingi chuckled. "Alright, Elsa."
"Green mangoes won’t be at the market. They have to be picked directly from the tree. But there are no mango trees around here. But if there were, should I climb one?"
"Don’t be crazy. It could be dangerous if you fall."
"Okay then. I'll buy whatever sour fruits I can find, alright?"
Mingi nodded. Whatever Yunho decided was fine. After all, Yunho was the one who handled their household finances.
After putting on his thick coat, Yunho left. He went to the nearest market to get what he needed—or rather, what Mingi might need.
And ended up buying lemons, plums, starfruit, and strawberries.
For his husband's recovery, he was willing to be very generous this time.
