"Who wants to lead the prayer?" Yunho asked as a Western-style breakfast was laid out on the table, and the married couple took their seats facing each other.

"I'll do it," Mingi replied. Yunho, feeling no need to respond further, closed his eyes alongside his husband.

"Thank you, Lord Jesus, for this meal that we're about to receive. Let it be nourishing to our body and a blessing to our soul. Dear Lord Jesus, please bless my pregnant spouse, my future baby, and me under my voice,"

Hearing Mingi pray for him and their baby made Yunho smile in the midst of the prayer. He knew how much Mingi loved him, loved Junghwan even before the baby's arrival.

Song Mingi is truly precious. He deserves the world. The entire world.

"...please shower us with all our heart desires. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

"Amen."

A

nd they both enjoyed their breakfast solemnly, engrossed in their respective portions, perhaps aiming to save time and not rush to work?

Yunho finished his meal with a glass of milk. Mingi always reminded Yunho to drink it every day, even preparing it for him. He desired a healthy and chubby baby, so he would do anything for it.

Facing Yunho, Mingi knelt, aligning his face with Yunho's belly. Mingi kissed Yunho's no-longer-flat stomach. In the middle of summer, coinciding with Yunho entering his second semester of pregnancy.

"I've been spending too much time with Junghwan; I didn't notice my abs disappearing," Yunho joked, rubbing his round belly with Mingi.

"Well, is this big enough for a four-month pregnancy? It looks more like five or six months. And I think you should switch your shirt for a sweatshirt; your growing belly will pop those buttons off."

"You're exaggerating. Is it that big?"

Mingi nodded.

"Maybe because you force-fed me milk every day?"

"You're exaggerating. I just encouraged you; didn't stuff you."

Yunho facepalmed.

"I see no difference?"

"Forgive me, Yunho. It's my fault; because of me, the eight-pack you've worked so hard to build has vanished. It's all my fault."

"Hey, you don't need to apologize. We've longed for a child, and this is one of the risks I have to accept. I don't mind because this is how pregnancy works."

"But you're the one going through it. Not me."

"That's not true because you helped me during my cravings, I mean, I never wanted anything, but you were always there to indulge me,"

A vigilant husband indeed.

And well, Mingi's cravings three months ago vanished quickly. They didn't transfer to Yunho, as he became a calm and undemanding companion.

"...that's more than enough. We're in this together. I'm not doing it alone," Yunho continued.

"Of course, I'll make sure I never let you face it all alone."

"You know, not every day of pregnancy is easy. But every day brings me closer to you. And this tiny creature."

Perhaps due to summer, Mingi felt like chocolate left under the scorching sun, melting, and all its molecules separating perfectly. Just from hearing Yunho's sweet words.

"Sure, pregnancy is not easy. Because you're carrying a whole world here," Mingi poked Yunho's belly with his finger, "inside you." Yunho felt what Mingi felt when hearing those words. Mingi lifted Yunho's clothes despite being neatly arranged. He didn't care because, even though he saw it every day, he still wanted to see Yunho's belly again and again—somehow it's oddly satisfying—staring at its surface, which seemed smoother day by day. And with playful joy, he poked Yunho's belly several times.

Yunho smiled again, rubbing his belly again. Speaking to the precious little creature inside, "I love you, Song Junghwan. You are proof that love before first sight does exist."

Mingi embraced Yunho's belly, leaning his head against it. Pressing his ear against the surface. Silent, waiting for something. Trying to hear the probability of something happening. And nothing happened.

So he looked up to gaze at Yunho, who was also looking into his eyes, "I don't feel anything. Is he dead?" The question made Yunho wide-eyed and slapped Mingi's head, making his husband groan.

"Don't say things like that!"
