Yunho decided to go back to his parents' house.

He cried his heart out in his mother’s embrace, pouring out all his anxieties and sorrows at his weakest moment.

Yuri stroked her son's head with affection. Only her tenderness could soothe his pain and restlessness at that moment.

"When I didn’t realize that my little baby had grown up to be a strong and handsome man, it reminded me not to spoil him anymore. And now he comes to me, crying like a little girl. I don’t mind protecting him in my arms like this forever."

Yunho felt calm with the touch of her soft, delicate fingers. It was as if every cell in his body reacted positively to the affection. The beautiful voice from her lips seemed to have enchanted him. He didn’t want to let go, even for a moment.

"I don’t want to part from you, Mom. I want to stay here with you like before."

The woman gently wiped the tears from her son’s cheeks. "I’d be happy to spend time with my child. But one day you’ll need to be with your partner."

Yunho shook his head firmly in refusal.

"You have to. After all, didn’t you once say that Mingi is very cute and lovable and you love him so much?"

Yunho remembered saying that. But for now, he wanted to forget it.

"No. I just don’t want to."

His mother sighed softly, trying to understand why her son had suddenly become so childish again.

Yes, he was very spoiled as a child. Maybe a side effect of being an only child always protected by his parents.

Yuri and Mr. Jung had grown very fond of Mingi and had considered him as their own son since he and Yunho had been close friends in high school. But Yuri had also slapped Mingi’s face two years ago over a disappointment that wasn’t even Mingi’s fault. After learning the truth, she had immediately apologized to her son-in-law. Mingi had forgiven her, of course. He understood that his mother-in-law was just too worried about her only child whom she loved dearly. Besides, Yuri knew Mingi well enough. A good man who would always strive to make her son happy. And for the current argument between Yunho and Mingi, Yunho was reluctant to talk about it. Yuri did not press. That was okay. She was sure each of her sons had a good reason to be angry. Maybe Yunho was at fault. So the middle-aged woman did not immediately blame Mingi or become hostile toward him.

"Alright, dear. Stay as long as you want. And if you truly believe that Mingi won’t come to you for a while, let me inform him when my grandchild is about to be born." She smiled sincerely at the end of her sentence, one hand gently caressing Yunho's swollen belly. She reached for Yunho’s face and kissed his forehead for a few seconds. In that touch, there was an unspoken prayer to accompany Yunho’s days, to protect him from all dangers.

Yunho thanked her and returned to his mother’s embrace, where the touch comforted him. It made him feel sleepy and he ended up falling asleep there.

For now, let him find peace like that.

Before he must face the list of suffering in his life.

And decide to end his life by his own hand.
