Mya

I called Callie and she could not have made it more obvious that she was pissed. "Why are you calling me?"

"Have you talked to Mav?"

"My brother wants nothing to do with you, don't you get that?"

"I should've listened, Callie."

"Look, I don't appreciate that he hid that from you but other than that, my brother is a great guy and you missed out on a man who would have treated you like gold, and the only person to blame is you."

"You really don't think he would give me another chance?"

"I'll go bat shit crazy on him if he chooses to give you a second chance. Cheating is not tolerable, you should know that. Especially when you slept with his best friend!"

"I got so used to my boyfriends cheating on me and I just... I shouldn't have doubted him."

"Maverick is a great guy. He deserves better."

"I'm sure he does, but I love him."

"Whose problem is that? Not mine."

"Callie, can you please talk to him?"

"Why should I?"

"I need to talk to him."

"No."

"Why are you acting so rudely?"

"Because I am standing up for my brother. He did nothing for you to do what you did with Cam."

*** 20 minutes later: I arrived at Callie's and knocked on the door, greeted by Callie and Maverick glaring at me the moment he saw me. "What the hell is she doing here? I wouldn't have shown up if I knew."

Callie scowled. "I told you that I don't want him to speak to you."

"What do you want?"

"Mav, can we talk in private?"

"No!"

"Cal, it's alright."

"You are lucky I am giving you five minutes to talk to him."

"You're not his boss, Callie."

Callie scowled. "Fine, I'll give you two some privacy."

She went upstairs and I followed him outside.

"What do you want?"

"Mav, I want to apologize."

"I don't accept cheaters, Mya. I would be too stupid to allow you a second chance."

"Mav, please... Listen to me. All of my past boyfriends cheated on me and when I saw that photo, I immediately thought you cheated too."

He laughed. "Then you turn around and sleep with someone else. Let alone my best friend. That's real mature, Mya."

"Look, Cam and I, we were friends with benefits for a while before you and..."

"I don't need details, Mya."

"Mav, please."

He scowled. "I have no reason to forgive you and I will make sure to return what I bought you."

"You bought me something?"

He nodded. "But you blew your chances, Mya. Don't worry about it."

He went inside and grabbed his keys before shutting the front door. "Mav, wait!"

"I had a lot of things planned out for us, Mya but it's over now. Have fun hooking up with my best friend. I have a baby that I need to get ready for."

"Mav..."

He backed out of the driveway and left. I loved Maverick and knowing that I hurt him only made me feel worse. I ruined our relationship because of one mistake.
