The following morning you wake up in Kita's bed, but without him next to you.
"Kita?" you call out, rubbing your eyes. You get out of bed and stumble downstairs.
"Hey, good morning," he smiles. "Hungry?"
"Yeah, I could eat," you yawn, taking a seat at the counter.
"How're you feeling?" he then asks, placing three eggs in front of you.
"I could feel worse," you smile. "How are you?"
"I'm okay," he nods, cracking another egg into a bowl. "A little hungover, but otherwise, I'm good."
"Good," you grin.
"Have you heard from Atsumu at all?"
"No, I haven't," you reply. "Have you?"
"No, not yet. Maybe he's sleeping it off."
"Maybe," you nod. "I don't remember seeing him that fucked up since high school. But, I also haven't really seen him since then so, maybe he's always like that."
"You're probably right," Kita agrees. "Anyway, let's go eat outside. It's too nice to be stuck inside all day."
"Okay," you nod.
The two of you grab a blanket and head out into the backyard. The air is cool and crisp, and the sky is blue and cloudless.
"It's nice out here," you smile, taking a seat on the porch.
"Yeah, it is," Kita agrees, setting his plate of eggs down.
The two of you eat in silence, enjoying the weather.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Kita then says after a few minutes.
"Yeah, of course," you nod, looking over at him.
"Are you, uh... are you gonna be okay, Y/N?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, your job situation, for starters," he explains.
"Yeah, I think I'll be alright," you shrug.
"What if I helped you?"
"Kita, I can't-"
"No, no, no," he interrupts, waving his hand. "Not with money or anything. Just, y'know, with little things."
"Little things?"
"Yeah, like... If you need someone to take care of you when you're sick, or pick up groceries, or whatever. I could help with that."
"That would be really nice," you smile.
"And maybe you could help me with stuff too," he adds, his face turning slightly red.
"Help you with what?"
"Y'know, just stuff," he mumbles. "I don't really know."
"Whatever it is, I'm sure I could help," you chuckle.
"Good, good," he nods, rubbing the back of his neck.
The two of you finish your meal and continue talking for a while. Eventually, you decide to bring your empty plates inside and wash them.
"I think I should go," you then say, drying off the dishes.
"Are you sure?" Kita asks, a hint of disappointment in his tone.
"Yeah," you sigh. "I don't want to be a bother."
"You could never be a bother, Y/N," he tells you. "I love having you around."
