Chapter 2: I want to become....

(Y/N)'s Pov

(Edward: STILL?! Author: YES! Be patient Ed! If you don't, I'll make you drink a whole gallon of milk! Edward: Ugh! Fine)

I saw Edward grow a goofy smile on his face, I started to lightly blush at how cute it was, but I brushed it off so he didn't notice. I mean, he's probably not into people like me. Wait? Did I just say that?

"THERE YOU ARE! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!" Mustang yelled, as he barged in scaring me, Edward, and Alphonse.

"HEY! YOU CAN'T JUST COME BARGING IN SOMEONE ELSE'S HOME LIKE THAT!" Edward shouted

"Umm....."

Well, this just got slightly awkward. Mustang just busted into my apartment and now the whole room just went silent. Mustang was staring at Edward, Edward was staring back at him and I was staring a both of them. I cough quietly to get their attention. Mustang looked over at me then the small child in my arms.

"So...what exactly happened?" Roy asked

"I found this child, laying on the ground with bruises all over her. These men came and they attacked her. I attacked them back until..." I paused for a bit before I continued. "These two came and helped us. She was already out cold before we brought her here."

"So you just took her from off the streets randomly? Don't you think she's has parents of her own?"

I paused and stared at the floor, then at the little girl.

"She doesn't have parents anymore." I said in a sad tone.

This made Roy gasped and turn to Edward and Alphonse who were also staring at the floor.

"They were murdered, by the men who attacked (Y/N) and the girl." Edward said

I could tell that that's going to be a lot of explaining later. I looked at the boys and smiled sadly at them. I gasped, noticing that Al was still in his armor.

"Umm, Al? If it's too hot in your suit, you can take it off and relax for a bit if you want." I said.

Both boys suddenly started to panic.

"No! It's okay, I'm fine really! No need!" Al shouted

"Yeah! Besides he can't take it off, he's.....umm.....very self conscious about his body anyway!" Edward shouted

"Brother! Why would you tell them that?!"

"Just being truthful, Al! Oh, would you look at the time! Me and Al have to get going! Bye, it was nice meeting you, (Y/N)!" Edward grabbed Al's arm, and made their way out the door, shutting it behind them.

OOOOOOOOkaaaay? That just happened.

"Nice to meet you too?"

Roy stood there, staring at the door.

"Roy? Are you okay?"

He turned to look at me, and smiled at me saying "Don't worry about it, I was just thinking to myself."

I knew something was wrong, but I brushed it off like it was nothing. Roy walked up next to me and kneeled down to look at the pale little girl laying on the couch.

"So? What are you going to do with her, once she's awake?" Roy asks me

"Well...I don't know. I might keep her here...maybe until I can find...I don't know, her grandparents or someone..." I said, stroking her short, light brown hair.

"You think you'll be able to handle her?"

"She's just a child. If Hawkeye and I can handle you, then I can handle her."
