"Well that does answer a riddle! Why the military would give a pup like you such a stern name. 'Fullmetal', but it's literal." Cornello says, before turning to (Y/N).
"And as for you, I knew I recognized your name from somewhere. Your father, Warren (L/N), also known as the former 'Ice Blood Alchemist'. Your name makes more sense now. 'Aqua'. See Rose, Alchemists forbid their own from transforming lead into gold, but there's one practice more taboo. A technique forbidden by man and nature itself. Alchemy....on human souls."
I looked down in shame along with Al and (Y/N). Though it looked like (Y/N) was taking it harder. She lost everything. Her father, her brother, her friend, her arm, her insides, everything. Her mother is the only family that is left, but unfortunately she was blinded by grief that she needed someone to blame, and that was her own daughter. It makes me sick.
"You miserable little children, dabbling in human alchemy without knowing its penalty you've stepped on the toes of God!"
"You don't know the story!" Al said, stepping forward a bit.
"Al!" I warned. I glanced at (Y/N) who fists were balled up and shaking uncontrollably. She looked a bit pale too.
"But....we just wanted....we just wanted to see moms face again....see her smile...."
"But you failed, didn't you?!"
"Yeah....I'd label that a failure alright....Al lost his whole body and I lost an arm and a leg....I ignored every sign post because I was reckless and wanted it bad enough...."
"And what about you girl?! Certainly you aren't clean on this either. Did you help them?! Or did you simply drag someone else into your little mess?! What exactly make you believe that you could bring back what you've lost?! People like you should learn your place!"
'This bast-' My thoughts were interrupted when I heard (Y/N) scream.
"SHUT UP!" (Y/N) screeched. "YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WE'VE BEEN THROUGH! WHAT I'VE BEEN THROUGH! YOU DON'T HAVE ANY DAMN IDEA! MY FATHER DIED IN BATTLE! MY MOTHER IS A BITCH WHO COULD CARE LESS ABOUT ME! ME AND MY BROTHER TOOK OUR CHANCE AND LEFT HER! I THOUGHT I COULD START OVER AND HAVE A NEW LIFE WITH MY BROTHER AND OUR FRIEND, BUT BECAUSE OF MY RECKLESS ACTIONS I'M THE REASON WHY MY BROTHER IS DEAD! I THOUGHT IF I BROUGHT HIM BACK THEN MAYBE I COULD-" She stopped mid sentence as a gallon of blood spilled from her mouth and onto the floor.
"(Y/N)!" I called out, kneeling down to her and carefully rubbing her back. Once she finished getting sick, tears began to slide down her cheeks as muffled her sobs with her flesh hand that was covered in her blood.
"I-I just....I wanted to see him again.....I wanted to see my brother again.....so I can apologize to him....is that too much to ask....?"
Rose looked at (Y/N), horrified at what she saw. I stood up and glared at her.
"You see, Rose? This is what happens when you try to bring back what's dead." I said "Do you really want to go through with that?"
Rose looked scared, before Cornello placed a hand on her shoulder, causing her to look at him.
"Don't let them worry you, Rose. You forget that the great Sun God Lito has blessed me with the Philosopher stone. Besides, I have far more experience then these heretic children do."
"Don't be stupid!" I yelled "No matter what kind of powers you have some things can't be done!"
"Oh? Then why are you anxious to get this stone? You want to beat the laws of Equivalence just as I do and bring your mommy and brother back!"
