I woke up to screams and gun shots. I jumped up, waking up Nick beside me. "What's happening?" He got out of bed quickly, getting dressed.
"I don't know, but it didn't sound good." I grabbed my gun out of the side table. We both ran outside, Nick holding my hand securely. "Help!" We heard screams in pain. We ran down the hill and saw plenty of men curled over in pain bleeding from their eyes and mouths.
I stood in shock as the dead ran around, chasing many others. I shot at the dead. What had happened here?
"Mom! Get her!" Nick yelled before doubling over in agony. "Nick!!" Both Alicia and I ran over to him as his mom chased Ophelia.

I sat with tears in my eyes in the infirmary as Nick laid unconscious on a bed. He was sweating like crazy. He looked so uncomfortable.
Madison still wasn't back yet. I was starting to get worried. If she didn't get a cure, Nick could die.
Tears started to pour down my face. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around, "Come on, you need some sleep", Alicia said. "I can't sleep without thinking of him like this", I grabbed Nicks unconscious hand.
"I know, but you need to try", she rested her palm on my shoulder. I nodded slowly, getting up.
I walked to mine and Nick's cabin and collapsed on the bed, passing out like a light.
I felt a slight tap on my shoulder as I slept and quickly sat up, pointing my gun in front of me. "Relax baby, it's me", it was Nick. "Nick!" I wrapped my arms around him.
"You're awake?!" I kissed him over and over again. "I'm okay. My mom found the cure. Messed Ophelia up real bad though", he smiled.
"I'm so glad you're okay!" I hugged him tight. "Me too", he smiled, hugging me tight. "Promise me, you'll never leave me again!" I said. "I swear." I smiled, kissing him. "Good."
