Innumerable tears left my eyes as I looked at my notes with blurred vision today was our physics exam, last exam before diwali vacations and I was suddenly nervous and anxious which lead me into forgetting most of the topics
And now 15 min before we leave for school I decided to do something I never imagined myself doing, pulling shirt sleeves I held my pen tightly and with shivering hands wrote down all the formulas on my wrist..
"Bondita.. let's go we will be late.." I heard Vansh's shout and immediately rolling my sleeves down and wiping my face I hurried downstairs
Taking Maa and Papa's blessing and side hugging my both elder brothers Vansh and I left for school
Vansh was walking leisurely confident of his study, while I was sweating buckets I can just pray from God to not let anyone know about what I did..
As we reached school and Vansh left for his alloted seat at back and I sat at third bench of middle row, closing my eyes I once again tried to remember whatever I could and a bile rose in my throat when I couldn't remember more than few theories
"Good morning everyone, today is your physics exam and hopefully you all are prepared..right?" Anirudh Sir's soothing voice reached my ears and I opened my teary eyes
Anirudh sir distributed papers and after the bell rang for the paper to start everyone started to hurriedly note down their answers I gulped looking at the question I felt blank and panicking I wrote down few answers that I could remember after that I was just sitting while Anirudh sir roamed around the room looking at everyone's answer sheet
My hands were itching I just needed to see the formulas and I could try to solve the numericals and as if the God was in my favour when Anirudh sir got busy in checking if everyone were present or not
Hiding my hand under the table I tried to pull my sleeves upwards but a thread of my sleeve got stuck in my watch I hurriedly tore the thread and was about to pull my sleeve up again when
"15 min left.." Anirudh sir announced already taking the papers from the students who have finished
Giving up I digested the fact that I have failed in physics and mourn internally at my incapability to learn physics
After 15 min Anirudh sir took everyone's paper and everyone started leaving some smiling and some cursing while I stood up slowly
"Miss. Bondita wait for a while.." Anirudh sir said arranging papers and I stiffened looking at him
As everyone left the class Anirudh Sir's sharp eyes finally snapped towards me
"Come here.." he mumbled sitting in his chair and looking at me intensely
I gulped nervously and walked towards him
"Show me your wrist.." he said as I stood in front of him
"Sir..I..." I tried when he pulled my hand and pushed my sleeves looking at my hand filled with all the formulas
"So? You cheated?" He said looking at me in disbelief
"I..I didn't sir.. believe me..I didn't see a single word sir..I got panicked sir I had no intention of cheating sir..I swear ." I said stammering as tears gathered in my eyes
"What was the need to even bring the thought of cheating Bondita..you were doing so good in tests than why did you panic Bondita..Now I am questioning my own teaching skills was I not teaching you good enough?" Anirudh sir asked agitated and I immediately shook my head no
"No sir, Its all my fault.. it's not your fault.." I said downing my head in shame
"I am disappointed Bondita very disappointed.." Anirudh sir said sighing and I gulped wanting to burst into tears
"I am sorry sir..please forgive me, Sir please.." I mumbled hoarsely and He patted my head
"You have 1 most probably 2 months before your boards Bondita and you are bright student, so if you want to learn physics or have any problems regarding it solve them in this Diwali vacation and you can come to my house if you want to.." He said and giving me a tissue left with the papers
Wiping my tears I left school with Vansh continuously asking me what was wrong, as I entered inside our house I immediately left to my room and weeped uncontrollably not realising when I fell asleep
"Bondita...Bondita get up.." my mother shook me awake
I opened my burning eyes and looked at my mother who pulled me up and handed me a dress
"Get ready we are going to see a girl for your elder brother.." My mother said and left hurriedly most probably to get ready herself
Although my mood was extremely ruined I did not wish to leave my room but I got ready nonetheless promising myself to study as soon as we come back
After everyone got ready Maa papa and Dadi left in one car while we siblings followed them in another
"Bhai what is your ideal type?" Rehan Bhai asked Raghu Bhai teasingly
"Someone who will take care of everything and everyone in our family.." Raghu replied while driving and I rolled my eyes at his typical answer
