I looked at my father wide eyed as he walked up to us and looked at me furiously..

"You shameless girl, how dare you run away and get married?" He yelled angrily and I flinched

"Don't shout at her..she got married in my presence..." Maa said stepping forward and Papa gave her a despised look

"Oh so, you have finally gotten a mouth to speak against your husband?" He asked stepping forward towards her and I saw fear flicking through my Maa's eyes

"We will have a talk at home.." Papa said and Maa looked at him with hate

"Why? Why at home? So you can harass and abuse me and still be the best husband in front of the world?" She asked him as tears filled her eyes

"Shut up Sujata..." He yelled and both my elder brothers came rushing towards Maa and stood infront of her while glaring at papa

Papa gave them an angry glare and looked at me..

"Are you happy now? After breaking our family? After making me the bad person in front of everyone? Since your birth I gave you everything, there wasn't a single you didn't have, and still you brought shame on me..I let you study as much as you wanted, I didn't send you to our village with Maa and let you do whatever you wished for and this is how you payed me back?" He asked gritting his teeth and I looked up at him with tear filled eyes

"All you ever did was for your own self Papa, you brought me dresses, toys and everything because of you wouldn't then your friends and the society will question you..you let me study and didn't send me to the village because you were scared that what will you give the reason to others if they questioned why I wasn't studying..all you ever did for your own self..." I said as tears slid down my eyes and he glared at me angrily

"I don't blame you papa, your family is toxic, they acted like your owner told you what to do and what not to and then you grew up and did the same with your children..you believed your witch like sister over your own daughter and you were ready to marry me off to a man who was just as toxic..you really wanted me to live a life like Maa or even worst...I have always respected you Papa, always felt that one day you will change, always waited for the day you will actually regard me as your daughter and not just some responsibility, but no you can never change..Never.." I yelled at him sobbing and my father raised his hand to slap me

I closed my eyes to feel the impact of the slap but that never came I opened my eyes only to see Anirudh sir standing infront of me holding Papa's raised hand..

"Now, now..Father-in-law don't forget that Bondita is not just your daughter anymore but also my wife now, and I would be damned if I would let anyone even touch a single hair of her..." Anirudh sir said calmly

"As a father your hands should only raise to give blessings and not otherwise.." and with that he kept Papa's raised hand on his head

Papa pulled away his hand as if it burnt and looked at Anirudh Sir while Anirudh sir just casually shoved his hands in his pants pocket and stared down at my Papa innocently..

"You impudent brat, What did you do to get my daughter and my wife in your trap? What sweet words did you feed them?" Papa asked gritting his teeths
