Chapter 21

"Just attend others wedding.." my mother said tauntingly when I walked downstairs wearing a black suit to attend Bondita's brother's wedding

"Maa why are you so adamant on getting me married?" I asked her

"Why can't you understand, I am getting old and anything can happen to me, I just want to make sure that my son and daughter is happy.." she said and I walked towards her

"Maa nothing is going to happen to you, you are all fit and fine and why do you think a women will bring Dhani and Me happiness, we are happy without a women as well.." I said softly holding Maa's hand and kneeling down infront of her

"You don't understand Anirudh the power of a women in a men's life, when you will get married you will realise how a women changes a man's life completely and brings colours and happiness to the full life..." She said patting my head

"But Maa.." I whined like a child keeping my head on her lap

"No buts, if you have a girl in your mind then tell me and if you don't then I am asking for Sandhya's hand from her parents for you.." she declared firmly and I looked at her pleadingly

"Let's go Bhai.." Dhani said gloomily coming out of her room

"You bought this yesterday?" I asked looking at her red floral dress and she nodded

"It's beautiful.." I said and she grinned

"Thanks Bhai, it's Bondita's choice.." she said side eyeing me and I shook my head at her usual teasing

As we walked out of the house i held Dhani's hand and helped her in sitting behind me on the bike

"Dhani?" I called driving and she hummed

"What's wrong?" I asked softly seeing her gloomy all day had me worried and I just want to know the reason behind her gloominess

"It's nothing serious Bhai, just some teenage stuff.." she said keeping her head on my back

"You can share with me.." I said genuinely

"Not right now Bhai.." she said and I decided to drop the topic not pressurising her

As we reached at the hall where the wedding was to be held it was decorated beautifully and a lot guests were coming..

As we entered inside we were once again welcomed by Rehan who pulled Dhani's cheeks and shaking hands with me and a little talk again got busy in welcoming others ..

We went inside and the bride and groom were taking pheras while everyone were throwing flowers on them, I looked around searching for someone and my eyes fell on the figure who was giggling with that Ved standing in one corner while throwing flowers

I suddenly felt like punching someone Dhani patted my shoulder and I looked at her

"Bhai, I understand that you are jealous but control.." she said giggling

"I am not jealous.." I said and looked at them again, the boy was now throwing flowers on my Bondita

My fists tightened and I walked towards them without my knowledge..

"Bondita.." I called and she turned around taking my breaths away

She wore a blue lehenga today and had her hairs in a stylish bun and she even wore complete jewelleries today and the nose ring that was touching her upper lips enhanced her mole and for the first time in my life awoke the desire in me to kiss her..
