NIGHT 12

The red tribe members return to camp. It's still raining.

Rose: (confessional) "That was a devastating decision I just had to make. Either way, someone was going to be upset by the result and Ivan is one of those people you generally don't want to upset, so Alix had better be right about this."

Mylene: "What just happened?"

Ivan: "That is a very good question." To Rose. "What happened?"

Rose: Slightly nervous. "I don't know."

Ivan moves closer to Rose.

Ivan: "We were supposed to be voting Alix. What do you mean you don't know?"

Rose: "I... I don't know."

Alix: "Leave her alone, she's clearly distressed."

Ivan: "Fine, then."

Ivan sits under the shelter, followed by Mylene.

Mylene: (confessional) "Same as Ivan, I'd also like to know why Rose voted for Luka tonight. But Ivan's approach is probably not the best way to find out. Maybe she'll be more receptive to me, so I'll try asking tomorrow."

Rose walks away, followed by Alix.

Alix: "I'm sorry about that."

Rose: "It's not your fault."

Alix: "What do you want to do now?"

Rose: "I just hope tonight's decision wasn't in vain. That we can have an alliance with your brother and his group. That we can survive long enough for it to be possible."

Alix: "For as long as possible, I promise you'll be safe."

Rose: Hugs Alix. "Thank you."

At the shelter.

Ivan: "I had a promise to keep."

Mylene: Hugs Ivan. "We know."

Ivan: "And I wasn't able to."

Nathaniel: "What's done is done, we can't worry about it now."

Ivan: "You would say that when the event happens in your favour."

Adrien: "Tomorrow will be a new day. If we can give it our best, then we should be able to walk out with our heads held high, regardless of the outcome."

Ivan: "What happens until then?"

Mylene: "I think we should just get some sleep and we'll deal with tomorrow when it comes."

Alix and Rose return to the shelter and everyone gets as much sleep as they can.

DAY 13

Everyone wakes up. The sun is shining and it's no longer raining.

Mylene: "Look, guys. The sun is out for the first time in almost a week."

Rose: "Maybe it's a sign of good fortunes for us."

Ivan: "It better be."

Mylene stands up, taps Ivan on the shoulder and walks away. Ivan stands up and follows her.

Mylene: "First thing's first, we need to understand why Rose voted out Luka last night."

Ivan: "Yes."

Mylene: "If we are to understand what motivated Rose, we'll need to take a more gentle approach. We can't be too abrupt or she'll just shut down and won't say anything, like last night. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

Ivan: "I think so."

Mylene: "Ok." Ivan and Mylene return to the shelter. "Hey, Rose, can we talk to you for a minute?"

Rose: "What about?"

Ivan: "What about?! How about what happened last night with the vote, when you voted you Luka!"

Mylene: Faces Ivan. "Hey, Ivan, breathe. Do some of those breathing exercises I taught you." Mylene turns back to Rose while Ivan takes a breath. "We just want to know your side of the story and understand why you voted the way you did."

Rose: "Oh, of course, it was really hard for me to choose. I'm friends with both Alix and Luka and I didn't want to vote anyone out," Her voice starts to crack and tears start filling her eyes. "I didn't want anyone angry or upset with me. I hope you can forgive me."

Rose brakes out in tears, sobbing and Mylene comforts her with a hug.

Mylene: "Of course we can forgive, can't we Ivan."

Ivan nods under duress.

Ivan: (confessional) "Mylene may be prepared to forgive Rose, but I'm not. When you mess with the bull, you get the horns."

After Rose finished crying, Ivan and Mylene step to the side to have a chat.

Mylene: "What happened Ivan? I told you that we needed to be gentle with Rose and the first thing you do is blow up at her."

Ivan: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I don't know what came over me."

Mylene: "Don't worry, I forgive you. Let's go back to camp."

While the couple walk back to camp, Adrien comes out from behind a tree.

Adrien: (confessional) "It seems like the power couple have a few cracks. I wonder what they were talking to Rose about?"
