Day 13 - Reward

All players enter a challenge area where Alec awaits them.

Alec: "Come on in, guys." The green and blue members stand on their tribe mats, followed shortly by red. "Green and blue getting your first look at the new red tribe, Luka voted out in last night's tribal council." Juleka's eyes widen slightly. "So Ivan, what was the mood like when you got back to camp?"

Ivan: "It was pretty tense."

Alec: "Would you like to give any further detail?"

Ivan: "Last night didn't go to plan."

Alec: "Yeah, I know what happened at tribal council, I was there. I want to know what happened when you got back to camp."

Ivan: "Well, I had a bit of a temper tantrum. It's something I'd rather not dwell on."

Alec: "Ok, then. Juleka, were you looking forward to playing with Luka?"

Juleka: "It is unfortunate to have missed such an opportunity."

Alec: "Well, no use dwelling on it now."

Juleka: "Certainly not. What's done is done."

Alec: "Indeed. Ready for today's reward challenge?" Everyone cheers. "For today's challenge, one member of each team will square off against against each other to retrieve a sandbag. First person to get the sandbag back to their home square wins a point for their tribe. First tribe to 5 points wins reward. Want to know what you're playing for?" Everyone cheers. "The winners will receive a fresh supply of fruit to their camp. Green, you have 3 extra players, you'll need to sit 3 people out, blue you have 2 extra players, you'll need to sit 2 people out. Can't sit out the same person in back to back challenges. Who's it going to be?"

Nora: Whispers. "This is a strength dominant challenge."

Nino: Whispers. "Too bad I can't sit out, then."

Ali, Jalil and Juleka raise their hands from green and Mireille and Wayhem from blue.

Alec: "Ali, Jalil, Juleka, Mireille and Wayhem, you're on the bench. Everyone else, I'll give you a minute to strategise, then we'll get started."

Red mat.

Ivan: "I want to go in there first."

Mylene: "Calm yourself."

Ivan: "Let me at them."

Adrien: "We need to be smarter about this."

Mylene: "What do you suggest?"

Adrien: "We'll need to take turns with this, so if we use our strongest players first, we'll lose the later rounds and by extension, the challenge. I suggest we see who they're putting forward and plan accordingly."

Green mat.

Nora: "Why do we need to strategise something like this when we can just mow them down?"

Sabrina: "I like your enthusiasm, but let's think this through."

Nora: "What's there to think about? Just let me out there, I can take them."

Sabrina: "That's great for now, but we need to think long term. What message will winning these challenges send to the other teams?"

Marc: "It'll say that we're a threat."

Sabrina: "Exactly."

Alya: "You're not suggesting that we intentionally lose the challenge, are you?"

Sabrina: "Not lose, but a tactical withdrawal. If we take too many victories early on, we'll end up losing the war."
