The next morning, I sat in my class was worrying about Ellie, I needed to know if she got home safe or if I didn't save another student in time, I was worried sick after our encounter with that figure I was petrified now I knew how Vae felt like after I saw her. But the one thing that crossed my mind a lot was why didn't I get killed. Why did I get given that note?

Was that figure the one who gave her that book? I had no clue, nothing was adding up, and I was quite frankly going insane with this case, I had nothing to start it off, I just needed to know the background of Nova High and the city, just maybe that would help start this mystery.

I saw Ellie walk into class as she handed me some papers before sitting down at her desk, I put the papers in my belt behind my blazer as I got up to start teaching "Right we will start now, I have been marking your papers and a lot of you have messed up some words which are quite funny," I smiled handing back their papers to each student.

"In the test, you needed to write the last letter of the word for example 'My son' being 'Mi hijo' and 'My daughter' being 'Mi hija'. The O represents male and the A represents female," I spoke slowly so the students could understand more.

"So sir like amigo and amiga?" he said as his other classmates laughed at him thinking he got it wrong.

"You're very much correct, well done, so I'm going to give you all another quiz," I said as the class started to groan "Don't worry the test isn't hard, I just want to get your understanding of what we've talked about," I said handing out the other papers.

"You will have the rest of the class time to finish, you may start now," I spoke quietly as I closed the classroom door and sat back at my desk, I took out the papers Ellie gave me as I read through what she had written, I nodded as I understood what she was talking about, I looked at Ellie as she was looking at me, I nodded to her as she smiled back.

I kept looking at the time, I rubbed the bridge of my nose and laid back in my chair watching everyone with their heads down working hard, I saw out of the corner of the window someone as I turned my head fully to see something, Vae? No, it couldn't be, I rubbed my eyes as I looked out of the window again to see no one there. I was losing my mind, I watched the class again as I saw some of them finished but the rest just finishing up "5 minutes left guys," I spoke up.

After the five minutes were up the bell rang and the students started to leave Ellie stayed behind, as I picked up the quiz papers and placed them on my desk, I leaned against the desk crossed my arms over my chest and looked at Ellie "So a museum?" I looked at her.

"Yeah, it tells the history about Nova in general maybe we both can go there tonight and get clues, whatever happened last night can't stop us, Sir, we need Vae back," she pleaded.

"We will go tonight but one rule," I said raising my brow.

"Yeah..?" She looked at me.

"I will be walking you home afterwards, I do not need you going missing, especially after the incident yesterday," I looked at her.

"You got it like I was going to walk home," she said.

"Right good, after your classes you meet me here clear?" I said with a stern expression.

"Clear," she said as she got up and left the classroom.

Hours later it was finally 4 pm, Ellie and I got into town as I locked my car we walked into the museum, I looked around to see old pictures of the town "Damn it looks like a ghost town," Ellie said.

"Took the words out of my mouth," I said as our tour guide came in.

"Welcome! Are you guys ready for an hour of learning?!" The tour guide seemed excited "Sure," I said sternly on the other hand Ellie was excited "We sure are!" She said in a bubbly tone, I already knew this was going to be a long hour.

We all walked into this room where the tour guide kept talking about Nova City as Ellie spoke up "What are your opinions on the missing children?" She asked the tour guide which made me intrigued by his honest opinion.

"Well, I think it's heartbreaking and incredibly disappointing that people these days won't even consider finding them, these kids must be terrified. I heard about the recent girl going missing, I knew her father he hasn't been the same since she disappeared you know, poor family," he said as I looked at him.

"You knew her father? I thought Vae was new to the school?" I questioned the guide.

"The father was born here, then her mother moved here I think when she was 10 then after some years the mother moved away, and next thing I knew they were married and had Vae," my eyes lit up with the new information, maybe this is something I needed all this time.

"Look, could we catch up tomorrow same time today to talk more about that family?" I asked.

The tour guide nodded "Yes of course! 4 pm tomorrow?" He asked.

I nodded "I will see you then," I motioned to Ellie to leave first, as we started to walk back to my car we heard screams coming from the museum, dreadful screams "Stay there Ellie," I said as I took out my pistol and ran back to the museum.

I stood behind corners and aimed a gun each time I walked "Hello?" I said sternly as I turned around the corner to see the tour guide dead on the floor with his head ripped off his body "Fuck!" I shouted as I looked around, I heard footsteps running in and I saw Ellie next to me "Oh my god?!" She said as her eyes widened at the sight of the body.

We both stood there in dead silence.

We were back to square one.
