• Vae's Pov •
I sat in my room, I heard the screams stopping and I knew I had to get out of there somehow, I looked around my room, spat on my hand and started to wipe down the walls just in case there were any signs of clues anywhere.
I pulled the chair that was in the corner to the door so I could spare time to look around without getting interrupted, as I moved the chair I heard something unlock, I turned my head to see an opening in the wall, I squinted my eyes until I walked over and I exhaled before moving my hand into the wall, I kept moving, until I stumbled across something.
A diary? I sat down in the corner and started to read through the first few pages, my eyes scanning every word in every line, I kept reading as I saw who wrote it "Kevin?" My eyes widened as I remembered who Kevin was.
I flicked through the pages and started to put it all together. I looked around the room and read what it said on the page, I walked over to the corner of the room and saw something peeking from the corner of the floor, I got onto my knees and pulled on the thread until I pulled up a key, I smiled "Gotcha," I put the key in my shirt to hide it.
I sat back in the corner and kept reading until I read what the key does, I looked at the bars on the window, put the book down and walked over as I grabbed onto the metal bars once again, pulling myself up with all my might. I took the key out of my shirt as I looked to find the keyhole, as I spotted it out of the corner of my eye, I started to unlock the latch that pushed down the metal bars into the wall.
I fell to the ground as I groaned, I put my cold hands between my thighs to warm them up, I looked around the room crawled back over to the book and continued to read, I went back to the wall where I found the book and took out a metal pipe "Defence?" I exhaled, everything was getting overwhelming. This was the time not to worry, I had to get out of here.
I continued to read through the diary as I came to the last pages, I reread over the last lines "Just run, don't stop," I repeated the sentence. I got up, I held the pipe in my hand with the diary. I took a slow breath, I had faith in myself. I was getting out of there and no one could stop me.
Deep down, I was disturbed, I couldn't breathe. But if I don't leave now, I know I will be next, I'll be the next murderer. I looked over to the door and moved the chair out of the way. I opened the door to see the figure standing there, I immediately hit the figure with the metal pipe before starting to sprint down the hallway.
I kept running, as the tears were down my face. I could hear its footsteps running behind me. I saw ahead on my right was a doorway, I pushed into it but it was stuck, I kept running towards it and putting my strength in to knock down this door, I was getting tired, and I felt like I was going to faint.
My head started to go muddled, I grabbed onto the door handle and kicked down the door with the little strength I had left. As I ran through this place that looked like an underground passage, I saw a ladder a few more steps in front of me.
I climbed up the ladder fast and got to the top where I could see the bright sunlight, the figure started to climb up behind me, and as I reached the forest grounds, I held the pipe in my hand tight and whacked it across the figure's head as I closed the door and put the latch on fast.
I dropped the pipe and started to run through the forest, everything was becoming accurate, it felt like it was a dream. Was I dreaming? Did I escape?
I continued to run as I heard footsteps, I started to cry while running until I fell on top of someone, I looked down until I saw Ellie. "Vae?!" She hugged me tightly while crying, I held onto her body sobbing.
"Is this real? I'm here?" I looked at her crying. She held me against her "You're here," she said as she didn't let me go. She helped me up gradually, as we saw the figure in front of us. We both froze, I held onto Ellie crying, and we both started to walk back slowly. The figure came closer, we continued to walk back.
I heard Ellie yelling "Javier!" She was hollering, I looked up at her to hear the man's name, our teacher... The detective's name.
Were they looking for me? Everything was getting remarkably overwhelming, as I passed out down to the ground, I could hear Ellie saying something but I couldn't comprehend until my eyes closed.
