Break Up

Mina was surprised to get a call from Jeongyeon to meet at their office saying that they found Jackson.

"How did you all save me?" Jackson asked the team as he sat in the office.

"Actually for that you have to thank Mina here. She was the first reason we were able to find out that you exist." Jihyo informed Jackson who looked at Mina, surprised.

"How did you know I was in danger?" Jackson asked Mina curiously.

Mina explained everything they did during the course of time when he was imprisoned by Minhyuk and the goons.

"But nobody knew where I was kept. How did you guys find me?" Jackson asked Team Shadow.

"Well. Let's just say that the guys who kept you had some loose ends which we caught on time. Minhyuk's men especially the younger ones have a big mouth. If you ask them the right way they spit out truth like a water fountain." Jeongyeon laughed on her own joke and the team joined.

They surely had a good time beating the shit out of the goons. Especially Momo.

"So what are we going to do next?" Mina asked suddenly.

"Now that Jackson is out of danger. We need to expose Minhyuk. We are clearing our way towards the top. We were able to eliminate their income source for now. Their drug storage had been raided and sealed. No other deals are coming their way. Which means they are desperate. It also means they are more dangerous." Jihyo commented.

"Yes we all should be careful with our next move. We need proof that Jackson is the real architect behind the designs done by Minhyuk." Bambam suggested.

"But I already drew them. Isn't that enough?" Jackson asked confused.

"No. Minhyuk isn't stupid. He probably would have a backup plan." Jeongyeon added.

"How about his degree?" Dahyun suggested.

They all looked at her for a moment. She went silent." Sorry..I was just suggesting." Dahyun apologized immediately.

"No don't apologise. That's a good idea." Mina replied. " I mean I heard that he majoured in architecture from one of the famous universities abroad. So if we could get the certificate and check for its genuinity, we could bring him down. Well his public image."

Everyone looked at Mina like she had two heads.

"Who are you once again?" Jeongyeon and Jihyo asked the same question they did while they were at her office few days ago.

Mina smiled cutely and all of the gays and guys swooned.

"But really. It's a brilliant idea. We should get on with it." Jihyo added and everyone agreed.

"How are things with Nayeon?" Jihyo asked Jeongyeon as they had lunch.

"It's hard Ji. I want to comfort her but I don't know what to do when she is around. Every time I look at her I feel the same way I did ten years ago. I know it's too soon for me to approach her and I know that she probably wouldn't be in the right mind to accept me." Jeongyeon sighed sadly.

"Jeongie. I don't think she ever stopped loving you. No matter how long it has been she will still feel love towards you." Jihyo assured her best friend.

"I hope you are right Ji.", Jeongyeon sighed again.

"What's gonna happen with Jennie?" Jihyo asked curiously.

Jeongyeon swallowed. She never thought about that until now. Even though Jennie and her didn't had a relationship to begin with, Jennie was a huge part of her life. Her presence had helped Jeongyeon a temporary relief from her broken heart.

"I don't know." Jeongyeon answers genuinely.

"I think you should talk to her." Jihyo suggested.

"I will." Jeongyeon nodded understandingly.

Jeongyeon respects Jennie. She had never taken Jennie's affection towards her for granted. She always reminded Jennie that she cannot be anything more than a sexual partner and Jennie understood.

If things are to get back with Nayeon, she don't want Jennie to be hurt or betrayed by that. She hoped things were different given the circumstances.

Jeongyeon called Lisa to let her know that she will be visiting Jennie. The latter was so excited for Jeongyeon's visit. She cooked her favourite dinner and waited. Lisa saw it all and her heart tugged again. She was slowly falling for the idol.

Jeongyeon knocked on Jennie's door later that evening. Jennie cheerfully opened the door wearing a t shirt and shorts. She jumbed on Jeongyeon the moment she walked in and hugged her tight.

Jeongyeon hugged her back. Jennie felt something was off.

"What's wrong Jeongie?" She asked softly looking into the sad eyes of the soldier.

"Nothing. I am just exhausted." Jeongyeon replied. She couldn't bting herself to look into the cheerful happy eyes of Jennie and say the truth. Maybe after a few drinks.

"Aww...poor Jeongie. C'mon let's get you relaxed. I made your favourite for dinner. Tteokbokki." The Korean beauty jumbed up and down in excitement and guided the soldier to the dining table.

Jeongyeon sat there like an obedient child and watched Jennie.

Jeongyeon had way too many drinks between the dinner. Jennie observed the soldier carefully.

"Jeong. Can I ask you something ?" Jennie asked the now drunk soldier.

"Yes, Jen. You can ask me anything." Jeongyeon looked at Jennie sadly.

"You are leaving me. Aren't you ?" She asked looking in her eyes.

Jeongyeon hesitated. She couldn't bring herself to say it. But she needs to get it over with. She gulped down her whiskey. "Yes." There she said it.

Jennie didn't respond. She sat there. Tears filled her eyes but she didn't cry. Jeongyeon watched the emotions swirl in her face. She was amazed by how strong Jennie is.

"She is back. Isn't she ?" It wasn't actually a question. Jennie knew somehow.

Another "Yes" and Jeongyeon held her head low.

"Can you do something for me?" Jennie asked softly. Sadness gripped her voice.

"Anything for you Jen." Jeongyeon looked at her desperately.

"Make love to me. Make love to me Jeongyeon. One last time." Jennie said.

"Jen I don't think it's a good idea." Jeongyeon tried to reason.

"Please ..." And Jeongyeon couldn't say no. So she made love to Jennie that night for the last time.

Jennie cried for the first time as she orgasmed that night. And Jeongyeon held her until her cries turned into hiccups and then into sleep.

Jeongyeon stayed until the morning with Jennie in her arms. They agreed to stay friends even though it probably would be hard but Jeongyeon is special for her. She was happy to be closer to Jeongyeon in any way possible even if it meant hurting herself in the process.

When Lisa came to Jennie that day, she found her curled up in the couch with a blanket around her. They stayed in the room and a comfortable silence envoloped them.

"Agent Lisa, have you ever been in love?" Jennie asked out of nowhere.

Lisa looked at Jennie for a few moments and then replied. " I think I am now." Jennie looked at Lisa for a second and laid back down. Silence again.
