Nayeon woke up in the hospital bed two hours later. She groaned at the bright light and adjusted her eyes to look around.
She saw Sana sitting at the side of her bed reading something. Nayeon tried to sit up and the movement caught Sana's attention. She quickly jumped up from the chair to help Nayeon.
"Be careful. You might feel dizzy again." Sana carefully advised.
"Where am I ?" Nayeon asked groggily.
"You are in the hospital Nayeon." Sana replied while helping her sit up straight.
"Where's appa? Is he okay?" Panic raised in Nayeon's voice as she frantically asked Sana.
"Yes. He is out of critical condition. It's good thing that he was bought on time. He is sedated and resting. " Sana added trying to comfort the distraught woman.
"Can I see him ?" Nayeon asked emotionally.
"You need to rest. Besides I don't think they will let you see him now." Sana informed sadly. She placed a hand on Nayeon's to comfort her.
Jeongyeon walked into the room a few seconds later and Nayeon flinched a little. She felt her heart racing and her breathing became hard as she remembered what happened a few hours ago.
Jeongyeon stopped dead on tracks when she saw Nayeon was awake. She hesitated and stood next to the door. While Nayeon rested, Jeongyeon had time to calm down her rage and think about what happened. She felt guilty for showing her dark side in front of Nayeon.
Those five years with Team Delta had made her into a true monster. One that doesn't hesitate killing anyone and everyone who crossed path with her. A true devil to be precise.
Bambam was familiar with the rage. The rage that came with the death of a loving sister, the lose of a lover and above all her endless sufferings. Jeongyeon wasn't named killing machine for nothing. She did end lives, brutally, even with her own bare hands. But Nayeon is a pure soul who didn't deserve to witness it.
Nayeon eyed Jeongyeon and clutched Sana's hand a little tighter. Sana eyed Jeongyeon confusingly.
"Can you ask her to come back later?" Nayeon asked Sana in a small voice. She couldn't make eye contact with Jeongyeon. She felt like she was looking at a different person rather than the one she loved and cherished.
Jeongyeon felt hurt. She felt her heart squeeze painfully inside her chest. But she understood, she nodded and quietly exited the room.
Nayeon felt tears roll down her eyes. She looked at the closed door where Jeongyeon stood.
"I guess you realised something. Didn't you ?" Sana asked Nayeon.
"I want to believe that whatever I saw was a dream. But.....my memory tells me otherwise." Nayeon sighed as she looked down at her hands clasped in her lap.
"Jeongyeon had changed a lot since my sister died." Sana informed.
"I....I am sorry about your loss, Sana. I truly am. When I knew, I wished I was there you know.... But I couldn't." Nayeon looked at Sana sadly.
"I understand. I was angry at you in the beginning. When Jeongyeon came here right after Somi's death, I hated her. For not protecting her......she wasn't just my sister." Sana felt her eyes burn with emotion.
"I know you all blame me for making Jeongyeon weak." Nayeon gulped as she spoke.
"Yes we did. But that changed something inside Jeongyeon. She was never the same after Somi died....she left us. For five years, we didn't know where she was. What she was doing. Then she came back....at your wedding day" Sana remembered the time she came back.
Nayeon's eyes widened." Jeongyeon was at my wedding?" She asked shocked.
"Yes...she stood outside. Watching you become someone else's." Sana still couldn't shake off Jeongyeon's sad filled eyes from her memory.
"She didn't cry then you know. She just stood there emotionless. I wanted her to cry or yell or do something.....but she didn't. That's when I knew I lost the old Jeongyeon." Sana stood up and walked towards the table to get some water for Nayeon.
"How did you handle it?" Nayeon asked as she accepted the glass of water from Sana.
"I didn't. But I just accepted. One day a man came to my clinic bearing a gun. He was angry that I testified for the patient who was raped by him." Sana gritted her teeth at the memory.
"Oh God. What happened?" Nayeon gasped in horror.
"Jeongyeon came. The guy had me on my knees.....before he could lay a finger on me Jeongyeon came....like a hero as always..." Sana chuckled a bit even though that day terrified her to death. "I saw her kill the man......with her bare hands..... Her eyes were different... like blood red..She wasn't the same Jeongyeon I saw. I felt the same just like you did right now. Like I was looking at a monster. But I am forever thankful for her saving me that day. I am not a big fan of violence but that man did deserve for what he did. I just wished it wasn't Jeongyeon who killed him." Sana sighed.
"Did you hate her?" Nayeon asked.
"I can't hate Jeongyeon. She is a devil , a kind hearted handsome devil. But she will kill herself to protect us all. That I can guarantee you. If that makes her a bad person. Then I would let her be." Sana tapped her hands on Nayeon's consoling her.
"Do you think I made a mistake by asking her to leave?" Nayeon hesitantly asked.
"No. You did what you felt at that time. Jeongyeon understands." Sana replied. As if on cue the nurse came to their room to check on Nayeon.

Mr. Mun paced back and forth in his office. Minhyuk barged in breathing hard.
"Our men....they are all dead." He said breathlessly.
"What??? How the fuck is that possible?" Mun slammed his hand on the table as he asked his eldest.
"Im is injured and is in the hospital. I guess the body guards took care of our men. " Minhyuk replied.
"Get the details of that body guards. I don't think they are just body guards. There were so many of our men. This isn't right." Mun paced again thinking. He felt like he was missing something.
Minhyuk left his father and hurried towards their gang member. Yeri stopped him on the way.
"Did you find Kai?" She asked worried.
"No Yeri. Not now. We are looking." Minhyuk replied.
"Can I help?" Yeri asked desperately.
"How?" Minhyuk groaned.
"I heard your attack on Mr. Im. I can visit him. To see what's going on." Yeri suggested. Minhyuk thought for a while. " Okay. Be careful and take my men with you." He replied and left Yeri who smiled smugly.
He came downstairs and saw two of their gang members standing at the foot of the stairs.
"Boys....we have a job" she said and asked them to follow her out. Yeri walked with determination.
