After a while I finally let go of Julie. She needed me and Kelly to be supportive right now, that was obvious.

History was repeating itself.

Ok... so what now...

A little while later we got to the shop, and stocked up on the (very) few things that were left. It was almost barren! That wasn't too surprising though... it made sense.

We discussed maybe trying to get to another town, what if this was the only town infected or something? We hoped so.

But then! Woosh! Another zombie dared to block our path! Kelly immediately jumped on the zombie, knocking him to the ground, while me and Julie slapped the zombie with our wooden planks that we found lying around. We may or may not have smacked Kelly one or two times...or 15... But she was Ok, just a few bruises.

"Hey! You hurt me!".

"Sorry...".

We all looked around each other, but then noticed in the corner of our eye...

"Oh my God! Other survivors! Hello there! Who are you!?".

We saw two other kids that couldn't have been older than 17. One was a girl with rainbow coloured, very curly long hair, with dark green eyes and wearing a purple hoodie with a rainbow heart design on it. She seemed rather short, but not too short. She seemed like the eccentric, energy-filled kind of person who constantly seems to be high or having a sugar rush. Energy practically oozed from her. The other was an even shorter young man with slightly darker skin and a buzz cut, and a regular t-shirt and jeans. He wasn't the most good-looking of people, but his smile sure lit up the barren wasteland that used to be our home. He seemed like a really cool guy.

"I can't believe it! Other people! Boy am I glad to see you!" The boy said.

"I think we'll have a better chance of survival if we all work together! Can we try and survive with you guys?".

That was rather abrupt...

"Hey slow down! They'll think we're weird!".

"Well, weirdness shouldn't matter in this kind of situation..." I said in hopes of calming them down.

"Exactly!" The girl replied.

I looked at my sisters to see if they had any objections. I didn't care. I had no objections.

"Well. I suppose there is no reason they can't stay..." Kelly said.

"As long as they do as we say and play by our rules!" Julie replied.

"Hey, don't be rude!" I told her.

"No! It's fine! We'll do as you say! It's the least we can do!".

...

Then we stood there in awkward silence...

"We should introduce ourselves, I am Shelly, I like unicorns, glitchcore... and starsigns! And I hate corn! This guy's Shaun, he's my bestie! We're just two peas in a pod!" the girl said.

She definitely was eccentric and energetic...

"Ayyy! Finally someone gets it!". Julie replied. At least Julie seemed to like her.

"I'm Shaun, I like clouds, like the shapes and stuff, and manga, and... I can't think of anything I hate on the top of my head right now... oh yeah! I hate avocados".

"He seems kind of crazy... He doesn't like avocados?" Kelly whispered to me. Was food the only thing that these girls cared about?

We decided to introduce ourselves too.

"I'm Kelly, I like reading, writing and drawing, but I'm not very good at any of them. I don't like school or idiot teachers".

"Hey! Shelly and Kelly! Haha! We just be two peas in a pod!" Shelly replied. She sure loved the phrase 'two peas in a pod' huh...

"I'm Julie, I like hanging out with me friends, and I Loooove music, and like you, I hate corn! Eugh!"

"No! Come up with somethin' original!" Shelly said a little angrily, but not actual anger. Playful anger.

"Oh, uh... Getting up early! I hate getting up early!"

"Ayy! You go girl!".

"I'm Nick,I have very few opinions, so I can't talk much about that... uh... I'm studying maths at university... and... that's it...".

Even though I've changed a lot recently, I'm still the most boring person alive.

"Do it like we do! Think! Think really hard!". This girl was fun to be with but exhausting!

"I like... warm showers... sleeping... and I don't like tea. Is that good enough?".

"Yep! Excellent!".

Phew...
