I don't wanna believe one of us is already dead... And why him? He was awesome! Why couldn't it have just been some random stranger? And not to mention how devastated Shelly is...

Two peas in a pod huh? Now there's only one...

That image will haunt me in my dreams... I don't like blood... And that was a lot of blood... so much blood...

I didn't realise I was crying until I felt something salty inside my mouth. The taste of the salt reminded me of our current mission. To get more food before we starve.

"W-we still need to get food!" I reminded everyone after wiping away my tears.

"I know, I know... I just need a few minutes to sit down..." Shelly replied.

"Yeah, let's go find a bench or something" Nick followed up with.

We all found a little wooden bench to sit on and calm down. We could all barely fit! I was at the end, sat next to Nick. Next to Nick was Julie, then Shelly, then Martin. Martin was rubbing Shelly's back comforting her. Maybe he didn't hate her as much as he seemed to.

Julie was just off staring into space. Her eyes looked hollow and lifeless, and made a shiver go down my spine. I felt awful for her, no doubt she was somehow blaming herself for this, but I don't know how specifically.

Nick was obviously concentrating hard on his breathing, or maybe it was another asthma attack? Now that I think about it, his inhaler should be running out by now... We should go to a pharmacy after we get some food and pray there's something left.

"Are you feeling any better now?" Martin asked Shelly. "Not that I care, I just wanna know if we can go get some food. I'm hungry...".

"...OK! Let's go get some food!" Shelly sprang up all happy and cheerful and gave us all a big smile, like she usually did. Was she really already over it? Or did she just not want to annoy Martin again?

"Are you avoiding the question on purpose? I asked if you feel better?".

"I'm still sad, but moping won't bring him back. Let's go get food. Food makes me happy!".

Before we knew it, we were back on the move.
