Taylor fidgeted nervously with the sleeve of her oversized sweater as she waited for the oven timer to go off. She had put off her holiday baking until the last minute this year, so here she was on Christmas Eve trying to make as many cookies as she possibly could in one afternoon. She wanted to make sure Travis had plenty to bring to his teammates tomorrow, and she had promised Kylie she would bring some when they flew in tomorrow night.

Both Travis and Jason had games on Christmas Day this year, which was proving to be quite the logistical nightmare when it came time to schedule a day to get the whole family together. At one point, they had even considered just celebrating Christmas in November when everyone was supposed to be together for the Chiefs vs Eagles game, but that plan went awry when Taylor's show had to be rescheduled. But ultimately, they were able to squeeze in enough time for a quick one day trip to see the girls before Travis needed to be home for practice.

Travis had been a bit surprised that Taylor was so willing to travel this much during her tour break, but she had practically insisted. She loved Christmas more than any other holiday, and she was really looking forward to spending some quality time with Travis's entire family. This would be her first time meeting his nieces, although she had talked to them several times over FaceTime at this point, and she wanted to make a good impression on them.

*Flashback*

"Do you think Ellie would like this?" Taylor asked, turning her phone towards her boyfriend to show him the Amazon listing.

"Tay, didn't you already order all the girls a bunch of gifts the other day? They don't need all this, they'll be happy just to have us visit," Travis frowned, setting her phone down on the coffee table and opening his arms.

Taylor shifted so that she was leaning up against him, burying her face slightly into his chest in an effort to hide the crimson blush creeping into her cheeks. Travis gently kissed the top of her head while wrapping her in a hug, chuckling to himself at how small she seemed curled up against him.

"I just want them to like me," Taylor mumbled.

Travis turned her so they were face to face before grabbing both of her hands and bringing them towards his chest. They stayed like that for a moment, just breathing together, before Travis finally spoke.

"I promise, the girls are going to love you. Ellie hasn't stopped talking about you since I told her you were coming for Christmas this year, and Wyatt is really hoping you know the words to Baby Shark so she can sing with you. And then Bennie's a baby, so as long as you smile at her she'll be happy. Trust me, they know I love you, so they'll all love you too. You don't need to buy their love."

*End Flashback*

Taylor was broken from her thoughts by the sound of the timer going off. She quickly took the tray of cookies out of the oven, placing them on the counter to cool. She was hoping to have all of the baking done by the time Travis got home from practice so they could spend the evening relaxing and watching Christmas movies to rest up before the busy few days ahead of them. She still had a few more hours before he would be home, and she was on her last batch of cookies and was suddenly feeling much more confident in her ability to get everything done. The last batch of dough was already chilling in the fridge, so all she had left to do was scoop it and bake it.

By the time Travis got home that evening, Taylor had finished baking and packaging all the cookies and was curled up on the couch with the pets. She had a random Hallmark movie playing softly in the background as she caught up on some emails, her laptop illuminating her face in the dimly lit room.

"Merry Christmas Eve, my love," Travis said as he entered the living room, pulling Taylor into a kiss as he sat down on the couch next to her.

"Merry Christmas Eve, babe," Taylor smiled, placing her laptop aside so she could cuddle. "How was practice? Feeling ready for tomorrow?"

"It was good. We're in good shape for the game. It should be a good one."

"I'm excited to watch you play again. Oh! I almost forgot, I packaged up a huge tray of cookies for you to bring for the guys tomorrow. I figured you all deserve it if you have to work on Christmas."

"You're the best, baby. I'm sure everyone will love them. Pat still talks about that cake you made last month."

"Oh that was a good one! I should make that again sometime. But anyway, I was thinking maybe we could watch a Christmas movie before bed tonight?"

"I love that plan. How about you go put on some pajamas and I'll make some popcorn, and then we can watch in bed?"

Taylor happily agreed, hurrying upstairs to get their bedroom ready for movie night. She couldn't think of a more perfect way to spend Christmas Eve than wrapped in her boyfriend's arms laughing and singing along to her favorite movies.
