By the middle of the fourth quarter, the temperature inside the stadium had reached -8, but with the wind it felt more like -30. While Taylor was plenty warm up in the safety of the suite, she could tell that Travis was struggling down on the field. He had assured her earlier that morning that he was taking extra precautions to keep himself warm during the game, but she was concerned by the amount of exposed skin he had each time he was out on the field.

*Flashback*

"I just looked at the forecast again," Taylor said over the phone while packing her suitcase, "It's looking really bad. Do you think they might reschedule the game?"

"Nah, we've played in worse. We've been prepping for this all week," he explained, "They have some extra layers for us. Besides, you know I'd much rather play in the cold than the heat."

"Trav, are you sure? They're saying its so cold you could end up with frostbite," she worried.

Travis reassured her that they were taking precautions, explaining the different layers he was planning to wear under his uniform and the heated benches to warm up on when he wasn't on the field. She was still uneasy about the idea of him being out in such dangerous temperatures, but he was the expert here. She quickly finished packing the rest of her things, looking forward to a few days staying with Travis before she had to be back in the studio

*End Flashback*

The Chiefs played well, despite the weather, and emerged victorious at the end of the game. Taylor made her way to the family room with several of the other WAGs to wait for Travis while he got changed and talked with reporters. About 45 minutes later, Travis was at her side once again, wrapping her in a tight hug. Taylor reached up, kissing him softly, not caring that they were surrounded by his teammates and their families.

"Good game, baby," Taylor whispered, burying her face in his chest, "How are you feeling?"

"So fucking cold," he laughed, holding her close, "Mmm, you're so warm."

"Let's get you home. I had some of the guys go warm the car for us," she said.

By the time they got home, Travis was still shivering slightly, although he was trying to hide it so Taylor wouldn't worry. But Taylor was completely clued in, watching for any of the signs of frostbite she had read about online earlier. She had read online that it would be best to warm him up slowly, and she had planned their night accordingly. They had both wrapped up in a blanket in the backseat, and she had surprised him with a steaming cup of hot chocolate. Now that they were home, she was planning to draw him a warm bath for him to continue to warm up.

"Join me?" he asked, giving her a look as she grabbed him a towel.

"I was going to go heat up dinner for us," she mumbled, trailing off as he started to undress.

"Dinner can wait. We've both been out in the cold for hours. And I can think of a few ways we can warm up that are way more fun than soup."
