Five Times Taylor and Travis Avoid Talking About Kids and One Time They Don't
I.
At the end of her third consecutive sold-out show in Singapore, Taylor couldn't wait to get back to the hotel and relax. After a long shower, she quickly changed into her favorite pajamas before crawling under the covers. She probably had about twenty minutes before her dinner would arrive, so she figured it would be a good time to give Travis a quick call, knowing that he was at Jason's and the girls probably had him up bright and early.
"Hey baby," he grinned as he answered the call, "How was the show?"
"It was amazing! Such a good crowd tonight. Definitely ready for a few days off now though," she laughed.
"You've definitely earned it. Any fun plans for the next few days?" Travis asked.
"Sleep, sleep and more sleep. I can feel the start of a cold coming on and I'm hoping to kick it before you get here," Taylor replied.
"Oh honey," Travis sympathesized, "Do you need anything? Do you have water?"
Before Taylor could respond, they were interrupted by the sound of giggles entering the room. Travis scooped his nieces up onto the couch next to him, turning the phone so Taylor could see them.
"Hi Tay!" Wyatt greeted her, "Are you all done your singing now?"
"Hey girlies! I am all done with my singing for today, it's very late here. Isn't it so silly that it's morning for you guys and it's nighttime here for me?" Taylor asked.
Travis couldn't hide his smile as he watched his girlfriend interacting with his nieces. Her voice took on a more playful tone as soon as she started talking to them, and it really blew him away seeing what a natural she was around kids. He knew it was too early to say anything to her, but he really could see a future with her and he hoped more than anything that a child of their own would be part of that future.
II.
When Travis attended his first Eras show, he was admittedly more than a little distracted. After his failed attempt to slip Taylor his number, he couldn't help himself from getting a little distracted by the feeling of the plastic beads in his pocket.
So now, seeing the show a second time while visiting her in Argentina, there were a lot of small details he had missed before. Being so much closer to the stage helped a lot too, not to mention having Scott pointing out different production details throughout the show.
One thing that had really stuck out for him was the interaction she had with the young fan who had been chosen to receive the 22 hat. He couldn't hide the grin on his face as Taylor talked with the excited young boy, wrapping him in a tight hug before placing the hat on his head and slipping on the friendship bracelet he had offered her.
As Taylor rejoined her dancers for the kick line, Scott noticed the huge grin on Travis's face.
"One of my favorite moments of the show," he explained, gesturing to the kid who was still at the front of the stage.
"How do they decide who gets the hat?" Travis asked.
"We pick someone each show. Usually a kid. Taylor always likes when its a kid," Scott chuckled, "She's been saving all the bracelets they give her too, says she wants to make some sort of display out of them when the tour is over."
"She seems really good with kids," Travis observed.
"Always has been. I used to think she would wind up as a teacher or something like that," Scott explained, "You should see her when her friends bring their kids around to visit; she's always in her element when there's little ones around."
