After a triumphant victory over the Raiders in their Christmas Day game, Travis was exhausted but trying his best to muster up enough energy for a quick shower. He knew Taylor had the jet ready and waiting to whisk them off to Philly to celebrate the holidays with his family, and her team had already loaded up their luggage and the pile of gifts Taylor had chosen for everyone. All he had to do was drag his weary body to the car and he would be able to rest on the flight for a few hours. Jason's game was just starting, so he and Taylor would likely make it to the house before him anyway.

Travis had originally planned for him and Taylor to get a hotel room nearby, not wanting to bother his brother and sister-in-law with the extra trouble of needing to provide her security team with a place to stay, but Kylie had insisted that they had plenty of room for everyone. Taylor was excited to see Travis with his nieces for the first time, she knew this would be a great way to get a sense of what he might be like as a father someday. She knew how much his family means to him, so she was honored that she was being welcomed right in, no questions asked. Since her own parents were busy visiting Austin and his new girlfriend's family this year, she was grateful to have family to spend the day with.

After a quick shower, Travis changed into a comfy travel outfit before heading back to the small room where Taylor was waiting for him. She greeted him with a quick kiss on the cheek, congratulating him on his win before grabbing his hand and leading him towards the waiting car. She didn't want to waste any time getting to the airport, as she was hoping to have some time to visit with the girls before they had to go to bed, and Kylie had informed her earlier that they were all up bright and early to see what Santa brought.

Travis ended up sleeping for most of the two and a half hour flight, snoring quietly at his girlfriend's side. Taylor, on the other hand, just couldn't seem to get comfortable; she was constantly either too hot or too cold, and she couldn't shake the waves of nausea that kept coming out of nowhere. Figuring it was just anxiety about meeting the rest of Travis's family, she tried to distract herself by watching a movie.

By the time they landed in Philly, Travis was much less exhausted and ready to see his family. Taylor wished she shared his energy, feeling rather run down herself now. Hopefully she would feel better once she was actually at the house and knew that the girls approved of her. As they made their way to the waiting car, Travis seemed to notice that she seemed a bit off, but waited to say anything until they were in the privacy of the backseat together.

"Are you feeling okay, babe?" he asked gently, brushing a curl out of Taylor's face.

"Just tired. And maybe a little nervous," Taylor mumbled, trying to suppress another wave of nausea.

"I promise there's nothing to be nervous about. Everyone loves you already. And once they spend some time with you, I know they'll love you even more," he reassured her.

Taylor simply nodded in response, burying her head into his chest as she tried to think about anything other than how nauseated she was feeling. She couldn't remember the last time she had felt this lousy. Admitting defeat, she quickly pulled the small bottle of anti-anxiety pills out of her purse and took one, hoping that would be enough to ward off the knot in her stomach.

"Oh honey. It's that bad?" Travis asked, noticing that she was taking her pill.

"Mhm," Taylor groaned, closing her eyes tightly. "I just need a minute and I'll be okay."

Travis held her tightly for the remainder of the ride, rubbing gentle circles along her back in an effort to help ease her nerves. The medication wasn't working as quickly as it usually did, but she was feeling a bit drowsy now, a side effect that usually led to her avoiding using it unless absolutely necessary. At least she would hopefully be able to get some sleep tonight now, and she would be able to relax a bit more once they were settled in at the house and she had finally met everyone.

As the car pulled up to the driveway, Taylor quickly popped a piece of gum in her mouth in a last ditch attempt to clear her head. Travis held her door for her, his arm falling to her waist as he lead her into the house. Her first thought as she stood in the entryway was how comfortable she felt here. There were very few places she could honestly say she felt comfortable these days, but as she took in the family photos on the wall and the smell of dinner cooking in the kitchen, she felt truly at home. She could feel herself relaxing as she hung up her jacket.

"Fair warning, I can't hold them back much longer!" Kylie called from the playroom.

Right on cue, the sound of little feet pounding down the hallway filled the house as the two older girls raced towards their uncle. Wyatt flung herself into his arms, Ellie trailing behind slightly at the sight of Taylor.

"Uncle Travy! I missed you!" Wyatt said excitedly, her little arms wrapped tightly around his neck.

"Hey girlie!" he cooed, tickling her slightly to get her to release her grasp. "I missed you too, sweetie."

Kylie mader her way into the room, Bennie clung to her hip, and greeted the couple warmly. Taylor thanked her profusely for her generosity in letting them stay over, which Kylie just brushed off, saying that they always have room for family. The insinuation that Taylor was part of the family caused a slight blush to creep up her cheeks. Luckily, she didn't have long to think about it before Wyatt broke the silence.

"Are those presents for me?" she asked excitedly, noticing the pile of wrapped gifts that security had left by the front door.

"They are! Merry Christmas, sweetheart!" Taylor replied, accepting a hug from the excited child.

Just then, Jason arrived home, fresh off of a win. He quickly greeted their guests before helping his brother to carry the gifts into the living room. The girls eagerly bounded ahead, sitting on the couch to await their presents. Taylor helped distribute the packages, watching with bated breath as the girls unwrapped the various toys and books she had helped pick for them. While Travis was busy helping Jason unpackage the toy each girl had chosen to play with before bedtime, Taylor took a seat next to Kylie before handing her the envelope containing the gift she and Travis had gotten for her and Jason: a gift certificate for a couples spa with a promise of a day of babysitting. Kylie was touched by the generous gift, wrapping Taylor in a hug before turning her attention back towards her children to remind them that bedtime was in twenty minutes.

Once the kids were asleep, the two couples found themselves in the living room, chatting and catching up. As the night went on, Taylor felt herself relaxing more and more, the nerves she had been feeling on the trip down almost entirely dissipated. Unfortunately, she was also completely exhausted, the combination of a busy day of travel and the lingering side effects of her medication catching up with her. She was currently curled up against Travis, trying as hard as possible to fight her heavy eyelids. Travis seemed to notice though, and wrapped up the story he was telling before asking her if she was ready to head to bed. Taylor happily agreed, wanting nothing more than to curl up in his arms and drift off to sleep.
