Travis woke up with a groan, feeling his head start to pound before he could even open his eyes. Taylor was still sound asleep, curled up at his side. He carefully reached over to grab his phone off of the nightstand, not wanting to wake her when she had another show that night. A quick glance at the screen revealed that it was only 6am, definitely too early to be awake considering they hadn't gotten back to the hotel until almost 3.

"S'not morning yet," Taylor mumbled, inching closer to him.

"Shh, go back to sleep baby," Travis whispered.

"Trav? You're hot," Taylor muttered, her voice thick with sleep.

"So I've been told," he laughed, kissing her head.

"No! Trav, you're burning up. I think you have a fever," Taylor explained, sitting up to get a better look at him.

"I'm not feeling great," Travis admitted, "I thought it was just jet lag, but I think maybe I'm coming down with something."

"Shit, I hope I didn't get you sick. I thought it was just the humidity here making me cough," Taylor said, grabbing her phone, "I'll see if they can bring an IV for you today too."

Two hours later, Travis was feeling a bit better after the various medications the medics had brought for him. At Taylor's insistence, they spent most of the day in bed, skipping their sightseeing plans to nap and watch movies. She had tried to convince him to skip the show, or at least hang out backstage where he could rest, but Travis was determined to be out in the crowd where he would get the full experience.

By showtime, he had mustered up enough energy to make his way up to the suite, opting for a pair of dark sunglasses to help disguise how exhausted he really was. Once Taylor was on stage, he felt much more awake, trying his best to dance along to as many songs as he could, knowing that multiple people were taking videos of him.

As Taylor finished the acoustic set, Travis's exhaustion set in, his eyes burning from the energy it took to keep them open. He made his way down to where he would meet Taylor after the show, stopping to trade bracelets with a few fans along the way. He stood by the edge of the stage as she sang "Karma", beaming with pride when she once again changed the lyrics.

As the room began to spin around him once again, Travis quickly made his way backstage in search of somewhere to sit. He asked one of the security guys to let Taylor know that he would be waiting in her dressing room, not wanting her to worry when she didn't see him waiting when she got off the stage. He collapsed onto the couch as soon as he reached the dressing room, fully giving in to his jet lag.

When Taylor arrived a few minutes later, Travis was already asleep on the couch, his snores filling the small space. She decided to give him a few extra minutes to rest, quietly taking a quick shower and getting changed before waking him gently.

"Trav?" she called quietly, kissing his head, "It's time to head back to the hotel. You can go right back to sleep when we get there."

"Ugh," Travis groaned, sitting up slowly, "Five more minutes."

"C'mon baby. You don't want to sleep too much now and throw off your sleep schedule even more. Let's get you to bed so you can get a full night of sleep before we fly home tomorrow," Taylor reasoned.

"I don't know how you do this all the time," Travis exhaled, "Jet lag is a killer."

"I guess it just doesn't bother me anymore," she laughed, shrugging her shoulders, "You'll be a pro after this summer."
