In shadows deep, where once love bloomed
A tender bond, now torn and doomed
A melancholy tale I'll impart
Of love's demise, a broken heart
Once we danced upon dreams soft breeze
Two souls entwined, with hope's unease
Hand in hand, we dared to believe
That love's embrace would never leave
But time's cruel touch, a bitter foe
Unveiled the cracks, let doubt's seeds sow
Our love once vibrant, now frayed and worn
Like petals wilted, a rose forlorn
Words unspoken, and silence grew
A canyon wide, between me and you
Each passing day, a drifting tide
Love's ember faded, passion died
Once tender gazes turned to stone
Our laughter lost, replaced by moan
Echoes of love, now hauntingly sparse
Fading whispers in the dark, alas
Gone are the days of sweet caress
Replaced by tears, a love's distress
The warmth we shared, now turned to ice
A tragic end, love's sad demise
And so we stand, two souls estranged
In broken dreams, forever changed
Love's fragile flame, now snuffed away
Leaving naught but sorrow's disarray
In the depths of heartache, I find my art
To pen this tale of love torn apart
A testament to love's fleeting might
And the pain that lingers in the night
