You have the cutest smile, that gets me everytime
You had that twinkle in your eyes, pure and sublime
I wanted you by my side, no matter what the cost
But I fucked up so many times, I feel so damn lost
I broke your mind and your trust, your heart I would crush
I thought I knew what was best, so I would just push
But I was blinded I couldn't see, we soon fell out of touch
It's my fault I'm to blame, I'm who hurt you so much
There's one thing I want you to know, I loved your body and soul
You made me so happy, full of life and whole
But I burdened you with pain, now you just want rest
I'm sorry I couldn't do the same, but I gave you my best
I don't want you to go, I don't want you to leave
We can make it work, that's what I still believe
We can heal what hurts and more, from fighting helplessly
We'll try to make it work, together hopelessly
