My heart in my mouth and I'm fighting to open my eyes but this nightmare won't let me wake up. I could still hear the muffled cries of my parents and Daniel. The doctor was in the room speaking to them about me.

"She's in a coma but she can still hear what you're saying." He explained to them and I heard sniffling. "We stopped the brain bleed, but we don't know if any damage is done the scan shows her brain is okay but you can never be too sure." He continued.

"Can we take her home?" my mom asked.

"Yes, but you would have to have doctors around her constantly." He explained.

"We would like to take her home." My father said his voice was firm.

"All right then but some paper work is involved." He said.

I wanted to wake up I wanted to open my eyes but it's like they were glued shut. I could smell the freshly washed sheets on the bed I was finally home. I felt warm hands on mine and another stroking my hair.

"Della the doctor said you could hear us," he paused. "so I'm going to be here every day telling you weird things that have happened until you wake." Daniel's warm hands stroked mine.

They kept their promise every day with different stories for months. The doctors kept them informed every day. One day my mother came in and held my hand and I could hear her heartbreaking as she tried to keep the tears in. Her voice quivered and she just broke down.

"Please we need you to wake up we can't lose you too." She wept. I could feel her squeezing my hand and I tried to squeeze back but I couldn't move. She stayed for what felt like hours before she let go of my hand and kissed my forehead. "Good night." Then she left.

Danina had died and had been buried and I didn't even get to go to the funeral. I just couldn't open my eyes it's like a heavy wait on my chest and a pain in the pits of my stomach. Days passed since that night and they came in and out often.

"Her scar has disappeared under her hair now. Do you want us to cut off some of her hair? It has grown a lot." One of the nurses asked.

"No let it stay." My father said.

"All right then." She said.

Their hands were on mine and they sighed. One hand was left on mine and it played with my finger. I smelt nail polish, my toes were being treated.

"They might not be the best but I tried." Daniel chuckled. "Do you remember the time you put makeup on me and dressed me up as a girl so we could be a single gender pair of twins? That was funny." He chuckled and sighed. "I need you to come back Danny I have missed talking to you. It feels like I have lost a part of me." He said I could feel his pain, I wanted to come back. "Plus I need you to help me with homework, it's getting harder. Please come back to me." He begged, I think it was in the night now.

He had left and I was left to reminisce on what he had said. I needed to open my eyes, I forced and forced and finally they opened. My heart was racing and a pain suddenly hit me that was unbearable I tried to keep it in but my mouth opened and a high pitched scream came out. The pain was everywhere it was unbelievable and I wanted it to stop but it wouldn't, I screamed harder and the door open and people came flooding in.

"What happened?" the doctor asked.

"I don't know but she is finally awake." The doctor said. "Daniella can you hear me?" he asked. I looked around and saw my brother and my parents looking at me with worry. "Can you speak?" he asked. I looked at their faces they looked like they were in immense pain.

"Yes." I whispered. He put a light in front of my eyes and told me to follow it. I did my best but my eyes felt so heavy they began to close down, I felt so weak.

"No, don't close your eyes." He ordered me but they were so heavy.

"So heavy." I said to him.

"If she falls asleep again she might never wake up again." He told my parents.

"Della stay awake please for us." My mom begged. Tears ran down her cheeks and she held her heart.

"I can't." I whispered.

"We need to get her to the hospital." The doctor said. "Someone needs to keep her mind occupied." He said to them and they all stepped forward.

The drive to the hospital was fast. They did many tests and injected me with something that kept me wide awake. They kept blabbering and that pain came back and I let out another scream.

"It hurts mom." I cried.

"Go get the doctor." She said to Daniel he rushed out and came back with the doctor.

"Where does it hurt?" the doctor asked.

"In my head." I said through gritted teeth's.

"All right, we need to go in and see what's wrong." He said to a nurse standing there.

Please wake up I begged myself as I gripped the bed sheets. My eyes opened and I jumped out of the bed. This dream wasn't as bad as the others but just as painful, I flicked on the light and looked at the time it was just after twelve. It wasn't getting any easier sleeping and I refused to take those pills again.

I sat on the floor with my knees up to my chest and my arms wrapped around them. I wanted to cry my eyes out I was in pain, my heart ached and I felt like I wasn't me. Maybe I should tell someone how I felt inside? But who would care? I was broken beyond repair.
