Well happy birthday to me, I blew out the candle on the cupcake. I had tried to call Daniel but his phone was off but I left a voice message and a text wishing him a happy birthday. I sat on the counter eating the cupcake, well this is as good as it's going to get on this birthday. I hopped from the counter and made my way to my room to soak in my bath and listen to music loudly.

I stripped off my clothes and relaxed in the water when the doorbell rang and someone knocked on it loudly. Who comes to someone's house so early? Just on my birthday I'd like to be alone to enjoy my own company. I wrapped a towel around me and went out to the balcony looking down at the door.

"Do you people not get tired of me?" I asked looking at the top of their heads. They looked up with goofy smiles.

"We can see up your towel." Ryan smiled and winking and Anna and Beth hit him in the head. "Ouch." I adjusted the towel.

"So aren't you going to let us in?" Anna asked.

"Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your golden hair." Ramone kidded. Where is Emma?

"Where is Emma?" I asked.

Her figure appeared from under the balcony with a smile. "Here I am." She waved her arms.

"Please let us in, it looks like it's going to rain." Maria begged looking at the sky.

"Fine, a key is under the green potted plant put it back when you're done." I pointed to the plant and they took it up and opened the door and put it back in its location. I moved from the balcony and back to my once warm bath now cold. I let the soapy water out but stayed in the shower for a little before coming out and drying my hair. I put on a pair of ripped jeans and a Skillet t-shirt, I brushed my hair and put it in the worlds messiest bun.

My room door opened and I jumped and Maria, Beth and Anna plopped down on my bed and Anna stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do. I smiled at her as she made her way to a chair in the corner.

"God my mom is annoying the hell out of me." Beth yelled.

"What did she do?" I asked.

"She wants me to go to the local college but I want to leave and my father wants me to leave and see different parts of the world Seattle isn't life. So this week I got back my college applications and well I haven't told them or opened them yet." She pulled out a few big envelops and looked at them in her hand.

"I got mine too." Beth and Anna said.

"Well open them and tell me." I said to them they held the big heavy looking envelops in their hands.

"Suppose it's a rejection letter." Beth bit her finger nail.

"If it's a rejection letter it's a very long one, explaining a lot of reasons you were not accepted." Her nail biting continued.

"It's more likely an acceptance." Emma said.

"Are you guys sure?" The three of them look worried.

"Yes, now open it." I yelled. They slowly tore the seal and it felt like they were taking forever at snail's pace. "God can you girls move any slower I'm growing old just rip off the band aid." I told them and they moved a little faster and taking the documents out of the envelop and slowly reading it, there face not giving off any emotion. "Well?" I asked as they put the letters down.

"I got accepted to Columbia." Beth yelled.

"I got into NYU and Columbia." Anna face lit up.

"So did I." Maria yelled and they squealed and went all girly.
